[ and he’s not the only one, too! the sellswords in the hinterlands wear them, as well. for some weird reason.

like, a lot of people in the heat of the moment thought it was rebel mages wearing his robes - but upon closer inspection i found out that it was the non-magical mercenaries that the rebel mages had hired to protect them. so it’s not even mages taking up his “banner” by wearing his clothes, so to speak, it’s just a bunch of mercenaries??? and then a demon????
