The night Insomnia fell was the first time I prayed to the Astrals...

I usually always had my phone in my pocket. Even as I guarded the city with the other Glaives, I managed to always find a spot to hide my cellphone in case Ignis needed me. Sometimes there were routine texts of check-in and assurance. Sometimes there were random surprise messages of love passed between us. No matter what I did, I always kept a close eye on my phone, knowing his heart would speak to me through it.
He had never let anyone but me know the true extent and depth of his heart...
However, as I watched fire rain from the skies, my thoughts went from looking to the screen on my phone to the safety of the man I loved. As I ran through the streets of Insomnia, evacuating citizens and fighting off Niff army soldiers with my Glaive brothers and sisters, my mind only began to fill with dread.
If the city was burning, then what was the fate of my Ignis? If the singular safe haven guarding the last Crystal left on Eos was going to be destroyed, then what became of my heart?
I couldn’t bear to look at my phone.
I couldn’t stop to take it out.
