Doc came out of his cell early the next morning. Monger always made sure that his monsters were up at 6 AM sharp everyday. No one ever slept in at the base. As per usual, he was the first arrive at breakfast. He calmly took his seat at the table and patiently waited for his fellow monsters to arrive.
Today, however, was different than any other day for the past 50+ years. Just the other night, Monger had caught a new monster. Since the capture of Insectosaurus in 1969, they haven't had a new face around here. It was a nice and pleasant change.
The new monster was unlike anything he's ever seen before. For one thing, they were female and went by the name Susan-but Monger insisted on calling her Ginormica. She had beautiful sapphire eyes, near flawless olive-skin that accentuated her gorgeous silvery-white hair. He later found out that it used to be a chocolate brown. Not only that, but Susan used to be human-much like him. Unfortunately something had mutated her into a 49-foot 11-inch tall monster, and on her wedding day! His heart ached for her. Susan was a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma to him and he wanted to know more about this startling creature of grace, power, and beauty.
However, the poor thing was still quite shaken up for being torn away from her normal life and being forced to be locked up inside a cold, steel prison with four odd creatures she only thought were supposed to exist in stories and movies. It certainly didn't help that she was a still terrified of him and his friends and wouldn’t allow him to go anywhere near her to run tests. Not only that, Link kept trying to intimidate her, which made Susan feel less welcome here.
Doc's thoughts were interrupted as two small doors opened on one side of the room. Behind him, the entire wall lifted while to his left, another door, a much larger one, lifted up. It was time for his friends to join him, at last.
