Myself
The hardest part of this horrible auto-immune nightmare is dealing with the loss of the person you used to be. I handle my pain, I deal with being exhausted 95% of the time. I take zillions of pills that don’t make me feel any better. All I want is to be Gina again. This almost bald, forgetful, weak, tired, achy bone, burning muscle, girl who looks back at me from the mirror is not me. This disease is killing me slowly. I have finally come to realize it won’t stop until it takes every piece of me.
