@ihatethatchick ARE YOU KIDDING ME I LOVE YOUR MUSIC RECS.  I’ve probably never told this story online, but my dad raised me on The Eagles, Heart, Lynyrd Skynyrd (”Free Bird” is like the anthem of the South), David Bowie, Queen, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.  (Some recs for you, too, if you’re into that decade right now.  No one should ever go their entire life without listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan or The Eagles--and I don’t mean just “Hotel California.”)

Meanwhile my mom is a major Motown fan, so Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Whitney Houston, Earth Wind & Fire, basically all the R&B girl groups of the decade.

Basically, your list incorporates all the things of my childhood and gives me some new stuff to look at, to boot.  THANK YOU SO MUCH.

My daughter also gets powerfully nauseous with painful cramps in the first few days of her menstrual cycle. The way to alleviate it is whore pills (as the far right call it) Birth control pills, in the right dosage, can lessen both your flow and your symptoms. Don’t let anyone tell you it isn’t medicine just because it is for women. We are human too.

I use to never have this problem and it only started once I stop taking birth control actually. I’ve been meaning to go to the doctors and ask them if I could start taking birth control again to help out my periods.

when i was a kid my neighbor went on vacation and when she came back i thought she’d changed skin color.  i was like MOM SHE’S REALLY TAN.  SHE’S BLACK.  and my mom was like ‘no… she’s always been black.’  and i said ‘NO SHE HASN’T, SHE WENT ON VACATION AND CAME BACK AND NOW SHE’S BLACK.’

i have 19 piercings and 13 tattoos.

i have a half-sister that’s much older than me, but i was raised an only child and think of myself as such.

i’ve taken a bunch of languages but i barely remember any of them.  (spanish, french, asl, japanese, russian.)

i can type over 110 words per minute.  i casually type around 90something.

my eyes fight that stuff they put in your eyes to dilate them.  they have to give me the strong stuff whenever i get my eyes tested.

bright lights make me sneeze (i used to tell my mom i was allergic to the sun) and i can’t taste propylthiouracil.

i have hypothyroidism and pcos.

i can’t stand being hot.  i’d rather be too cold.
