The woman was without a doubt the most irritating and annoying woman he'd ever met, yet somehow that indomitable spirit seemedto appeal to him all the more. Never particularly one to stick around, it had taken him by surprise when he'd found himself drawn to her over and over again. And how willing she was to fall into him. Maybeshe didn't consider herself willing, yet each time the " mission " seemedto require any sort of cover or intimacy, she was eager and willing. Ironic perhaps that he was a mere man, and she so much more than any sort of mere woman. So it was little surprise when the kisses seemed to come with less time in between, each time she came off as almost -- irritated it had happened. Yet each time the kiss lingered a little longer. How long they'd been on assignment he'd lost track of, it seemed likeone day blended into the next, how exactly they'd become a team wassomething he wasn't even sure of. It had gone from one mission to now--- quite a number. Yet tonight it was quiet, the task completed, they nowhad the night entirely to themselves. He'd expected her to retire to her bedlong before now. But instead she'd hung around, and he'd obligingly left her plenty of room on the couch should she want to sit there instead of thepainfully upright chair which she chose. Hours passed in silence, the drone of the television there more to fill the void than to actually entertain either. Yet as the show changed, it changed to a vintage program, one where waltzes were played, the men and women dancing elegantly. It was a spur of the moment decision, but he rose, moving to bow just in front of her, offering his hand. " May I have this dance? " Hardly giving her time to answer, his hands took hers, pulling her lightlyup, guiding her to the clearest part of the room. He hummed along softlywith the song that played in the background, his hand just at her waist, asthe serenade got to a part where he knew the lyrics -- he sang softly, leadingher with ease, yet not a harsh hand. Whether or not she liked -- he figured he'd leave for her to decide, yet as the dance ended, they had progressivelymoved closer and closer to each other, until as the music stopped ----. His lips captured hers, hand moving from where he had held hers to cup her cheek. Drawing back slightly dark eyes were alight, " --- Hello to you too.. "
