Rant post IHG

Our IHG account has the husband's name on it for some reason, and today when I went to check in at a hotel I've used before...they wouldn't let me because it was under his name. I've been traveling for work using this over ten years. Twice, the check in person had questions, but never have they refused to check me in with our membership number because he's not with me.

How the hell is this possible? I understand if he had an issue with it, or there was a note on the account to only allow "Man Spouse" to use. But, I'm the one who opened it, I'm the one who got us the IHG credit card for extra points, and I'm the one who travels for work excessively. Did I transport back to 1970??
