i am reminded to never betray spencer's trust in any fashion once he puts it in you, because the little bean is fucking BRUTAL when he's emotionally wounded.

you will be hard-pressed to find someone whose better at aftercare than spence. true, he is not the most sexually active person. true, he is not the most sexually experienced person. but he's literally one of the sweetest humans in the world and it translates over 100% to caring for his partner after intimacy.

C - A - T bc i am nothing if not predictable.

C ─ Condoms. Do they use them ?  Do they have a preference ( color, flavour, etc… ) ? Have they ever had an accident ?  Would they continue anyway, if they’ve forgotten/run out of them ?

he's never not worn a condom in his two times of having sex. reid is far too mindful of safety and "protocol" for lack of a better word than to forget. i think it depends on the partner if he'd continue if he ran out of them. it'd have to be caught in the moment && at the direction of his partner in that moment. he's never had an accident, thankfully.

A ─ After care. Do they take care of each other after sex ? How ?

he's a big aftercare person. however the moment transforms him he immediately turns back into reid the bean and goes back to being wildly attentive to his partner. getting them water, asking if they're all right, just generally spending time with them. maybe a shower together, definitely cuddling. he's a BIG cuddler.

T ─ Turn ons & offs. What do they do to turn each other on ?  Is there something the other does that turns them off ? Have they told them about it ?

exploration is really the biggest thing for him. he's only had two sexual partners in his life by the time he hits thirty so there's a lot he doesn't know that he likes. just a lot of theory vs. practice. with that in mind, there's a pretty strong idea of things he wouldn't be down for and he'd be very up front about setting those hard limits with someone he's going to be intimate with. it takes a lot to get reid in that intimate place, especially because people have ridiculed him for his personal and physical appearance at very important developmental stages of his life. he's not self-conscious until he is, and when he is it's pretty debilitating. so he's not going to lose agency or autonomy over himself in an intimate setting.

well now you have to talk about reid + ice cream.

------it's a simple but torrid love affair with the good doctor.

unfortunately he's lactose intolerant, however from a very young age he's held a great affection for dairy products. ice cream is the champion above all, but he's partial to cheap cheese products as well ( string cheese, babybel ). he also likes cereal, though his tastes in that flip violently between the responsible adult choices or the fun choices. you're just as likely to find a high fiber cereal in his cupboard than you are cocoa pebbles.

the problem is the milk. he loves it, really. creamer, too. he's gotten used to drinking black coffee with maybe a sugar to taste because he can't really be bothered to take lactaid for coffee ( and let's be honest, the lactaid really curbs the stomach pain, you still get the digestive issues ). he's not fond of soy replacements ( don't get him started on soy and how every year there are more and more studies about how unhealthy it really is for you ) and while he can drink the nut milks ( oat, almond, etc ) it's just not dairy milk and it really doesn't scratch that itch.

also, to be completely fair, the wateriness of nut milks kind of skeeve him out with cereal, so he has to not look at the cereal when he's eating it with those.

while he usually has a bottle of lactaid in his satchel, he often forgets to replace it when it gets low or honestly just raw-dogs it into something and suffers the stomach pain + digestive trauma thereafter. ( he also eats tums like candy when his stomach is bothering him. bad spence ).

but really, ice cream is his favorite treat and he's not picky about flavors or brand. he's hurt his belly more often than not on it, and i'm pretty sure the local pharmacy near his apartment keeps a bottle of various digestive aids on hand for him. he frequents that pharmacy a lot, actually.

------idk why it seems to be a running theme for team members who don't really know the team to be sarcastic or nasty to reid, but i'm not fond of trainee s.eaver being rude toward him at any given turn. i understand he can be a handful and the infodumping can be overwhelming if you're not used to it, but s.eaver treats reid like he's annoying/weird and is continuously rude to him despite the fact that he's been working with the bau longer than she has? like you're a trainee. not only is he? your senior on the team? but he's? got more experience than you? maybe? respect him a little?
