      “  You  know,  you remind me a lot of your  grandma Kushina, have I ever told you about her ?” he begins . . . though he did hear about Naruto’s story of how the youngest Uzumaki awakened her Byakugan and scared the two Uzumaki men ( not to mention how she used gentle fist on Naruto ) but that was an entirely different story ----- he didn’t need to experience her anger to know that she and Kushina were one of the same.

‘ how are you holding up? ’

      “  … Mikoto, “   the blonde tips his head up at the dark haired uchiha, barely recognizing the concern in her voice.  Minato had lost days since, and there had been no signs of getting better despite of what he attempted to fool his friends with.   A poorly attempted smile spreads across his face, and while he was good at masking what he felt, this was one that, not even with all of his strength, he could even muster. 

          Obito had died. 

    He was  THE YELLOW FLICKER OF THE LEAF —- and yet, he wasn’t able to save him. . he wasn’t fast enough.  To make matters worse, two of his beloved students had to LEAVE HIM BEHIND. While they were ninja, that was never something he wanted them to face … they’re so young. 

     “  I’m doing fine. I really should get  to Kakashi and Rin, though. I’m late as it is, they wanted to train … “
