            in a thousand      years he had    never loved     a human the    way that he had fallen in love     with katia. it was    improper for     a guardian angel    to find    love      &&     comfort with a    warm    -    blooded    human. but    there was more that    laid under the    surface than     just    the laws he had     broken to     be with her. there was     the guilt of    what he’d done      after he      fell in love.      humans were    supposed to be     inferior to his    kind,      &&     in being   inferior they    weren’t    supposed to be able     to touch his    feelings. but     katia had    always been different.      from the moment     he had    laid with her    mother to make her      --     he knew.     the spark in her    eyes when he had    held her as a     toddler, to the   time when he had      been forced to    return to heaven     &&    guard her from above.     she was    special. it was     why when he had    traveled down from the      heavens to    rescue her    (     when it was her     fate to die     )     that he had     stayed,     &&     found himself     falling in love with her.      she was one of     the only humans to     ever be allowed to     see his wings;     to touch them.     he’d trusted her   &&    he knew that     she had trusted him.            but he had     shattered that trust, when he     returned to    heaven. leaving her   with a broken heart    for the second    time in her life.     first as her     father     &&    the    second time as her     lover. he had     been gone for    nearly three     months. leaving her     nights absent.      &&    he saw the    sadness he left      behind in her.     but there was something     more he felt.     something that had    driven him to     leave.      a child.     he’d put a      child inside of her.     he’d seen that     little beings future.    felt it’s    heartbeat before it had    even had a heart.     he knew better.     he knew what the     higher    -   up angels    would do to     him if they    found out he had     bedded his    own daughter.     but it was     this night that     he knew he couldn’t     remain in the heavens    (     in avoidance of her    )    forever.     the sadness had     taken hold.     &&     he could feel      the heaviness in her heart.     the burden of    loneliness as she    read the    lines on the    human test.      she was     three months    gone already.      what had    taken her    so long to test    ??    he knew the    answer.     she hadn’t wanted to    know what he    left her with.           ❛katia       ...      i’m    sorry.    ❜      he whispered     the words into the    room.     he wasn’t    appearing to her    just yet.     his voice was all she could    hear.     his heart as    broken as hers.
