"...one thirty-five. Thursday morning, November 4th,... one thirty-six... one thirty-seven a.m...."[...]"...one forty-five..." The voice-clock mourned out the cold colour of a cold morning of a still colder year.

The last book I read: Jonathan Abernathy You Are Kind by Molly McGhee. I can see the flaws but my mind really doesn't care - this book spoke to me incredibly personally, and I got so caught up in the life of Jonathan Abernathy that it hurt my heart a bit (a lot).
A book I'd recommend: The above ^, and What You Are Looking for Is in the Library by Michiko Aoyama, if you are a 'failure to launch' adult like me, who took all their degrees and certifications and found themselves in retail, who longs less for a career and more for a reason to live among the humans.
A book I couldn't put down: Nothing lights me up more, reading-wise, than Martha Wells' Murderbot Diaries. I've been reading them for years and I still can't get enough.
A book I've read twice or more: I don't reread books (not as a rule but I simply haven't) except for revisiting childhood/teenage obsessions. So - Eragon by Christopher Paolini?
A book on my TBR: Something I physically own and want to get round to is A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. It's been sat there so long and I never pick it but I've heard great things.
A book I've put down: I have a hard time quitting not-good books. I did start listening to Brave New World but realised I would rather read it (but also I didn't like it very much).
A book on my wishlist: Platform Decay by Martha Well (the latest Murderbot Diaries instalment). Desperately.
A favourite book from childhood: Well, I suppose it's Eragon again. In retrospect, there was never a series that I gobbled up to the point of finishing. Nothing that became my personality or I carried with me into adulthood. I did love the original trilogy, though, (and the movie). It felt good to be reading a thick tome like that.
A book I'd give to a friend: A book I have given to a friend is What If? by Randall Munroe. Superb books!
A book of poetry I own: I don't own any! (I don't own a lot of books full stop).
A non-fiction book that I own: How To by Randall Munroe.
What I'm currently reading: The Wayward Souls of Avalon by A L Davidson (it's turned out to be not my kind of book but not to say it's bad).
What I'm planning on reading next: I want to finish one of the dozen physical books I've started and paused lately. So the next SGA tie-in, or the WTNV novel that's been sitting there for years.
We'll see if any of these things are finished by the next time one of these tags comes around. Childhood series (Alex Rider, the second set of Percy Jackson books) are calling my name but so too are getting on with some classics. And my motivation and attention span for reading has been horrific lately - completely out of touch with my desire to read above all else!
Finished Donut County - a charming and funny little game with some great art!

Tag game: Get to Know Me Better
Reading: Casualties of War, Elizabeth Christensen. I'm hoping it won't be too dark, but I'm so far enjoying it! It feels like an episode (albeit exploring things a little more seriously than most eps)
Last Series: Prodigal Son. Rewatched a few episodes of season one and I still like it - which is always a relief with any post-fixation rewatch :) Haven't fully watched anything new since randomly picking Ballard.
Last Movie: Should I aim to rectify this throughout the year? Because I haven't watched anything since our christmas rewatch of The Holiday...
Last Song: Hot Wired, Silversun Pickups. I listened through their new album, Tenterhooks. It was mostly chill and I can see myself popping it on in the future.
Sweet or Salty?: Salty forever.
Tea of Coffee: Coffee every day. I do enjoy some teas regularly and occasionally try new, interesting ones but I am mostly disappointed by them :( The world of coffee suits me better!
Working on: Just getting back into creating anything in general. I'm trying to do more: play more video games, read more books, make art, maybe even write again some day.
A Tag Game
Origin of your username: my intentions for this blog were to keep it like an actual blog since elsewhere I reblog and don't talk about my day very much. So, the thought was 'if it looks like a blog, smells like a blog... it might actually be a blog'.
I will always order this food: I don't go out to eat much. If there are no good veggie options, I get some kind of burger.
Overused emoji: 😅It's the soft deflective blow against sincerity.
Current favourite show: Honestly honestly? The Floor. I don't watch game shows but I enjoyed myself a lot.
Song on repeat: Haven't been listening to music much for a while. End of Beginning by Djo is stuck in there though.
Last thing you hyper-fixated on: I am back and firmly entrenched in the land of Cyberpunk 2077. I finally started Phantom Liberty and it's just as brilliant.
Oddly specific thing that brings you joy: Vegetable depictions. I got a sticker sheet which included some tiny veg on it and it makes me so happy.
Phone wallpaper: An illustrated collage of flower stamps in oranges, cream and grey.
Smell that makes you happy: Tea tree shampoo
Morning, night or other type of person: Lately I cannot go to sleep before 0200 and wake up at 0930. However, I prefer waking early and can be peppy at any time of day.
Four non-selfie photos :)
