People will endure all manner of things as long as there's something good on television at the end of the day. Stories are more powerful than we want them to be.

The last book I read: Jonathan Abernathy You Are Kind by Molly McGhee. I can see the flaws but my mind really doesn't care - this book spoke to me incredibly personally, and I got so caught up in the life of Jonathan Abernathy that it hurt my heart a bit (a lot).
A book I'd recommend: The above ^, and What You Are Looking for Is in the Library by Michiko Aoyama, if you are a 'failure to launch' adult like me, who took all their degrees and certifications and found themselves in retail, who longs less for a career and more for a reason to live among the humans.
A book I couldn't put down: Nothing lights me up more, reading-wise, than Martha Wells' Murderbot Diaries. I've been reading them for years and I still can't get enough.
A book I've read twice or more: I don't reread books (not as a rule but I simply haven't) except for revisiting childhood/teenage obsessions. So - Eragon by Christopher Paolini?
A book on my TBR: Something I physically own and want to get round to is A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. It's been sat there so long and I never pick it but I've heard great things.
A book I've put down: I have a hard time quitting not-good books. I did start listening to Brave New World but realised I would rather read it (but also I didn't like it very much).
A book on my wishlist: Platform Decay by Martha Well (the latest Murderbot Diaries instalment). Desperately.
A favourite book from childhood: Well, I suppose it's Eragon again. In retrospect, there was never a series that I gobbled up to the point of finishing. Nothing that became my personality or I carried with me into adulthood. I did love the original trilogy, though, (and the movie). It felt good to be reading a thick tome like that.
A book I'd give to a friend: A book I have given to a friend is What If? by Randall Munroe. Superb books!
A book of poetry I own: I don't own any! (I don't own a lot of books full stop).
A non-fiction book that I own: How To by Randall Munroe.
What I'm currently reading: The Wayward Souls of Avalon by A L Davidson (it's turned out to be not my kind of book but not to say it's bad).
What I'm planning on reading next: I want to finish one of the dozen physical books I've started and paused lately. So the next SGA tie-in, or the WTNV novel that's been sitting there for years.
We'll see if any of these things are finished by the next time one of these tags comes around. Childhood series (Alex Rider, the second set of Percy Jackson books) are calling my name but so too are getting on with some classics. And my motivation and attention span for reading has been horrific lately - completely out of touch with my desire to read above all else!
Finished Donut County - a charming and funny little game with some great art!
