Tanis's whole mages guild b plot is nothing but a big red herring. The real end game is Arch-Mage III: Anaht's Revenge. She unbans necromancy before anyone can even blink. Sure, she's politic enough to make some public statement about what the ban cost the guild and how they will forge a better path, but really she just wants to be able to summon her powerful lich lord to carry out boring tasks she can't be bothered with in PEACE. is that so much to ask. i love women who are freaks
