in hindsight it probably would have been wiser to order food after confirming whether there would be company or not, but davika had agreed anyway, so minjae wasn't worried about it. the day had been rough, and honestly they both deserved a break and some comfort food ( thai, ordered specifically with davika in mind because he knew that she liked it ). quite some time had passed since the trainees had been humiliated punished in the galaxy building's lobby for anybody to see. it had been exhausting for both the body and the heart, and it seemed that even though it was over with, that agonizing hour was still lingering in the minds of both trainees. the food hadn't been touched yet, and it was much quieter than it usually would be when the two of them were together. it was difficult, but minjae was trying to be as cheery as possible.

"yah, you should eat a little." he urged, lightly pushing the bowl of tom yum talay towards the other. he managed a soft smile. "you'll be missing out if you don't."

he noticed trainees were also invited to the party only because he had seen davika, which in turn had made him quite embarrassed at himself. she had seen quite a sight of him; which he didn't want a lot of people to see. the worst was that he remembered every second of it. every time he sees her, it's just a reminder that he shouldn't drink too much; which is why he immeditatly put his glass of wine down at the sight of her. as a big sunbae, he told himself he had to at least say hello so he did even if he didn't really want to. "hi there, it's been a while. are you enjoying yourself?" that wasn't awkward, he had his friendly smile on; good, he hadn't messed up.

 “Oh, wow, Davika. Is that your actual hair or a wig? You didn’t temporary dye it black, right? Because I don’t think that comes out well.” Minnie wasn’t exactly sure what she was. She was a celebrity maybe? The soloist had a difficult time keeping up with modern stuff, not that she was very up to date to begin with. She didn’t recognize classic characters, Korean or Western. It was kind of embarrassing that she didn’t know most of the costumes in the room.

his eyes were filled with wonder, obviously very impressed by the girl’s dancing skill and charisma. clapping rigorously as he smiled at davika, before walking towards his fellow trainee. “ wow! your charisma is amazing! it’s sooo good, teach me your ways!”

he absolutely does not get lost exactly three times before he finds the building davika resides in. of course he doesn’t. of course he doesn’t have to sit in the driver’s seat a few seconds after the engine turns off because all the driving in circles around the block made him dizzy, of course he doesn’t have to take a breath and remind himself that he totally forgot to use the gps again.

it’s not as difficult to find his way to the doors of the dorm complex, though. waiting outside, for the other's arrival, arms crossed and his back leaning against the wall, tired and drained from filming earlier. 

the trainee had promised to show joonyoung one of her favorite ‘authentic’ thai food restaurants, which sounded ideal to him; the male always being completely up for new experiences- especially when it came for cuisine. and joonyoung promised to pay for the meal, trying to portray that ‘trustworthy and reliable senior who cares for trainees™’ standard he wanted to fit so badly. 

hand reaches into the pocket, slipping his phone out, finger swiping to unlock and making his way to davika’s contact.
