the trainee had been in the midst of dusting off his mask when he heard his name called somewhere within all the chatter around him. replacing the mask, he lifted his head only to see hoseok approaching. “sunbaenim!” he smiled brightly, greeting the man with a polite bow. “mm, i thought i would be nervous going to a party with so many seniors and staff members, but it’s actually a lot of fun!” minjae thought very highly of hoseok; he was immensely talented, and though they hadn’t spoken much he seemed to be a good person. he was someone that the boy respected and even looked up to as an artist. however… when it came to dating his minkyung, things were a bit different. it wasn’t exactly that he was opposed to it, and he had no intentions of interfering with the relationship at all. it’s just that minjae believed that his beloved older sister deserved to be with someone that was perfect, and because he didn’t know hoseok very well it was hard to determine if he was, for lack of a better word, worthy of his sister’s affections. but, at the end of the day, he seemed to make her happy and that was what was most important. he honestly didn’t have any complaints yet. “are you enjoying yourself?” it was an awkward adjustment, trying to fit somewhere between ‘younger brother of the girlfriend’ and hoobae.

      as long as his smile didn't waver, he would be safe. that's what he kept telling himself as he stood in front of his girlfriend's family member. it wasn't normal for him to be this much on edge but he honestly wanted to get along well with the trainee; while he and minkyung had only been officially dating for 3 months, hoseok was incredibly serious about her. he just hoped the younger boy could see that. ❛ that's great, believe me, when you debut this party is going to be one of the highlights of your year. why? because you can catch up with all of your friends. everyone's so busy you know, we don't get to meet each other a lot ❜

      when the question had been thrown back at him, he couldn't help the warm smile creeping on his lips. just like he had said before, this party gave him the chance to see everyone he was close to but truthfully, he was more happy about being to see minkyung. he decided to be honest about his feelings, what good would it give him to hide how much he cares? ❛ i'm glad i came even though i had drama filming the whole day. because of it i was able to see minkyung. ❜ of course, he had kept his voice low so only minjae could hear him. he was pretty sure both of them didn't want to let her go through a scandal.

risa always felt at ease whenever she attended prism events. being able to be surrounded by familiar faces – people whom you’ve grown up with, trained besides, worked or lived with for a time – it was the type of environment that the rapper found herself taking pride in, being able to call many members of the company her family rather than just co-workers. for example, hoseok. being similar in age was one of the main reasons why the two have remained such good friends for so long and with the both of them being the leaders of their respective groups, that bond only solidified into a friendship that risa cherished a lot. unfortunately, being the leaders of two popular groups didn’t leave them with much time to see each other as much as they did when they were younger. so it was events like this that made risa feel grateful as it provided her the opportunity to catch up with her close friends. 

a small grin reached the rapper’s lips at the sight of her good friend, accepting the glass of wine gratefully before chuckling at his compliment. “you’re too much.” she bantered simply, her voice hinting at her amusement. she gave hoseok a reassuring smile. “hey, don’t worry about it. i can relate.” risa laughed. “well, as you said, busy. tonight’s my only night off before i have to go back to sub-unit promotions. eva and i have a filming tomorrow afternoon.” she took a sip of her wine. “how about you? anything interesting happen since the last time we spoke?”

      he was the sunbae of a lot of the people attending the party so he had been quite uncomfortable until he had spotted her, now though, he was maybe a bit too comfortable; there was still watchful eyes after all. this party was a company event but with so much idols present, how could they not expect having some papparazi hidden, waiting for a chance. he was sure risa didn't want to get into another rediculous scandal and so did he. his smile hadn't left his lips even while taking a sip out of his own wine glass, catching up with the queen member had put his mood up compared as when he came in the part. ❛ you know i'm not ❜

      true, while hoseok had been busy filming — maybe risa had it more rough. king weren't going to come back anytime soon and his current drama was almost over, he would have a break while she wouldn't. ❛ right, the sub-unit. is it being received well? i didn't get the chance to check. Well — i'm sure it did. ❜ hoseok had a lot of respect for queen, not only because of who they are but also because of their talent; even if he hadn't heard the song yet, he knew that if it came from them, it had to be good. ❛ well, king won't come back anytime soon. my current drama is almost over so i'm probably going to have a break after mhm? I do am currently in the process of maybe participating in a musical again. but that's top secret, you shouldn't talk about it. ❜ of course, he was only being playful, he trusted the other leader completely.

he was always excited for parties where the entire prism branch would get together. it was a good opportunity to meet people and reunite with people he hasn’t seen in awhile. he usually had a rather busy schedule, but since king wasn’t due for another comeback yet, his schedule had been filled with attending classes at seoul national university rather than being anywhere else. he spent more days staying in and doing school work, so he was happy that he could finally be taking the much needed break he had been patiently waiting for— even if it was only for one night.

he had been busy talking to a staff member, showing off the crown in his hands before he had heard hoseok’s voice just a few feet away. the conversation quickly ended there, before his attention shifted towards his leader. he was still very much sober, but he had been tempted by the alcohol the entire time. ❛ hyung !! oh, me? look !! ❜ he held up his crown, a bright smile on his face from pride. ❛ i’m a prince !! —-or, i guess you could call me a king too… ❜ he gave the other a wink, hoping his point was made clear. a king member as a king? the ultimate inception. he gave the older male a once-over, his bright smile returning at the sight before him. ❛ mario? i don’t remember him looking like this—- who are you trying to capture the hearts of, hyung !! ❜

      no matter how much he thought about it, he didn't know exactly what jaehyun was dressed as — himself? it was just like him to do so, he wasn't surprised to find out his guess wasn't that far off. ❛ a king? are you going to start ordering people around when you get drunk? guess i'll have to say my apologies right now. ❜ he then jokingly faked going to do just that, taking a couple of steps away from his member, before coming closer again. in fact, hoseok was quite proud of his costume, it was the perfect mixture of cute and sexy; it had also taken a lot of effort to put on so he had hoped to receive good feedback from others. of course jaehyun would be the first one to do so. ❛ didn't he look like this? alright, let's say i gave him a more modern look.

       his next questions left him quite in a pinch. the younger male had probably noticed a difference since he had been officially in a relationship but hoseok had never really talked about it in the open with him. maybe it was the time to admit everything? well, there was a time and place for it and this party sure wasn't it but hoseok definitely thought he couldn't avoid the question completely. ❛ i don't need to capture any hearts, i already have one. ❜ and, that's all he permitted himself to say.

wontae would say he has a self of humor. so it wasn’t out of character for him to wear a wacky costume, rather than a cool one. so he didn’t mind when hoseok had offer to go as mario and luigi. he was ready to be funny and a little cooky but when hoseok had suggested the sexy version, wontae couldn’t help but indulge the other male, after all it couldn’t  be bad. at least he didn’t have to take his shirt off. 

“yeah yeah, it’s just these pants are really hard to get into.” wontae grumbles, yeah he was not made for leather pants, not at all. “ we’ll go, but dude, next time can we get something more breathable next halloween or something ?” he questions with a laugh.

      it was his fault his friend was having difficulties right now, he knows but just being the typical mario brothers just wasn't enough for the idol. he wanted to show the best side of himself to his girlfriend, so much that he hadn't really taken in consideration that he would make Wontae's life difficult. ❛ took me five minutes, i know. ❜ hoseok wore a lot of different stage outfits and leather pants had definitly been one of them but, possibly because king hadn't had any big schedule in a while, putting the damn pants on had been a pain even for him.

       ❛ sure, i was thinking of going for more badass next time, how's that? ❜ by badass he meant super heroes but wontae didn't need to know that right now.

she was following rather effortlessly, almost impatient to leave considering how little the spend time together. it was creating a small bubble of giddiness within her, the smile never leaving her face as they headed towards the door. ❛ when was the last time we were along together? ❜ it only made her a tad bit nervous that any of the sober trainees or staff could see them, but considering the life of the party was neither of them, she’s hoping for a successful retreat. the last thing he needs right now, as his career continues to flourish, is a scandal like this—- she doesn’t even want to think about what may happen to her job. ❛ i’m sure they wouldn’t mind if we’ve left, i’m sure they’d assume we were tired anyway. ❜

      while everyone had their own good and bad, he appreciated that she tried her best to see the good side of him more than his bad side — which was proven by the simple fact she'd think his bed hair would be cute. he had always wanted a simple yet comfortable romance and that's how he felt with the woman besides him. ❛ i'm glad you think that way, wouldn't want to terrorize you in the mornings. ❜ talking casually about being with each other overnight was nothing to him, when he was in a relationship hoseok took it seriously and it just happens that the assistant had him wrapped around her little finger. he didn't see them broken up in the near future.

      ❛ well i sure hope so, i put a lot of efforts into this costume you know. it couldn't be too sexy but it couldn't just be cute ❜ getting into these leather pants was already difficult enough.

      escaping the room unnoticed had been fairly easy; just like he had predicted. most people were drunk, didn't care of hadn't even seen them — he was thankful for all of them. ❛ too long ago? ❜ it was like walking on egg shells, they couldn't be caught no matter what. it wasn't like they had been dating for years, if the news broke out out of the blue, minkyung would be the one suffering under lots of hate and hoseok didn't want any of that to happen. honestly, if it wasn't for the effects the relationship could have on his girlfriend, he wouldn't mind revealing it to the world. ❛ probably, anyway if they'd question it i would've simply blamed the too tight to breathe leather pants and said you were simply helping me. that's what's great about dating a staff member, we can just blame it all on me. ❜ he had been searching for an empty, unlocked room for a while now and finally, he had found one. he confidently went inside, urging his girlfriend to follow him in the process. they shouldn't be interrupted there.

so life happened ( i had to interview someone for a project and then today’s my mom’s birthday, still gotta work on projects lol but u know i’m just gonna go online and not do it- bc thats smart. yup.

but yes my point is, is it ok if i continue the event threads or since the event is over i should stop lol?

eva beamed at the other as he came over, throwing herself at him for a hug. though she greatly enjoyed the company of the newer, younger idols and trainees alike, she did vastly enjoy the company of her friends more. she laughed at the others words, making a slight pose and nodding her head. “well… i would go and save the world, but i think i’ve had a bit too much to drink.” she pouted jokingly before the grin was back on her face, putting up a peace sign and giggling. “but what about you? don’t you have to save a princess? where is she?”

he was a bit surprised at her sudden hug but he hugged her back nonetheless, why would he push his friend away? he laughed with her at her comment "too drunk mhm? be careful not to go overboard, want me to get you some water?", he asked her as he eyed the table for some. "a princess to save?", he repeated after her as he looked at everyone in the room. "my princess seems to be doing alright by herself, i'll go if necessary.", he said as he pointed vaguely towards a group of people as the only answer for her second question.

the day that leader of king, choi hoseok, called her pretty will forever go down as the best day of hanna’s short life. she bragged about it to literally anyone who would listen ( though at this stage, there wasn’t many who would ). however, she always completely failed to mention to everyone how, after he had said this, she had burst into tears. since that day she had, unsurprisingly, not seen him again. that was at least until the felt someone grab her shoulder, and had turned around to bark at them to back off. and she was starstuck once more. “oh… hello sunbaenim.” she was grateful for the costume that ( hopefully ) covered flushed cheeks at his compliment. “oh umm… thank you! cool… sexy mario mustache…” she mentally slapped herself at her idiocity. hanna, you are such an embarrasment.

he was almost frozen there; his hand still stuck on the girl's shoulder. he hadn't expected to see her but it's not like he hated her; he just felt somewhat uncomfortable since he had to watch what he says at all times when he was with her; to make her feel more comfortable. it was impossible for hoseok to NOT think about others before himself this situation only proved that. he slowly let go of her shoulder but then, she complimented his sexy mario mustache; he couldn't help but laugh at her choice of words. he was grateful, her comment had made him relax ever so slightly. "isn't it cool? we put some wax on it so it went up.", he explained with a small smile.

it was a first for trainees to be invited to company parties, honestly, hoseok didn't think it mattered that much since trainees did work extra hard with debuting as a goal but now that he was officially in a relationship with minkyung, he was slightly anxious at the idea of having to meet the younger brother. he had talked to him a few times before but that didn't mean his worry lessened. he had to make a good impression on him or it's possible minkyung would break up with him. he is absolutely not the type to overthink and worry but when it comes to his girlfriend, he somewhat looses his mind. he saw the trainee from afar and didn't think twice about it; he drank in one shot the rest of his wine before going to see him. "Minjae! Are you having a good time?"

he noticed trainees were also invited to the party only because he had seen davika, which in turn had made him quite embarrassed at himself. she had seen quite a sight of him; which he didn't want a lot of people to see. the worst was that he remembered every second of it. every time he sees her, it's just a reminder that he shouldn't drink too much; which is why he immeditatly put his glass of wine down at the sight of her. as a big sunbae, he told himself he had to at least say hello so he did even if he didn't really want to. "hi there, it's been a while. are you enjoying yourself?" that wasn't awkward, he had his friendly smile on; good, he hadn't messed up.

he hadn't had the chance to talked to the younger girl again after their surprising conversations where hoseok had made her cry; he still didn't understand all of it but what was sure was that the king member was now incredibely awkward around her; what if he says something he shouldn't again? he had tried to avoid her as best as he could (making sure it wasn't noticable of course) but, just his luck, he had mistaken her for someone else and had daringly grabbed her shoulder. Imagine his surprise when her face was revealed under the bear costume. "Oh, hi", he uttered silently. The oversised costume looked good on her, made her look even cuter. "You're cute.", he said nonchalently before correcting himself in a hurry. he didn't want to make her cry again. "i meant the costume is. the costume."
