it was a first for trainees to be invited to company parties, honestly, hoseok didn't think it mattered that much since trainees did work extra hard with debuting as a goal but now that he was officially in a relationship with minkyung, he was slightly anxious at the idea of having to meet the younger brother. he had talked to him a few times before but that didn't mean his worry lessened. he had to make a good impression on him or it's possible minkyung would break up with him. he is absolutely not the type to overthink and worry but when it comes to his girlfriend, he somewhat looses his mind. he saw the trainee from afar and didn't think twice about it; he drank in one shot the rest of his wine before going to see him. "Minjae! Are you having a good time?"

he noticed trainees were also invited to the party only because he had seen davika, which in turn had made him quite embarrassed at himself. she had seen quite a sight of him; which he didn't want a lot of people to see. the worst was that he remembered every second of it. every time he sees her, it's just a reminder that he shouldn't drink too much; which is why he immeditatly put his glass of wine down at the sight of her. as a big sunbae, he told himself he had to at least say hello so he did even if he didn't really want to. "hi there, it's been a while. are you enjoying yourself?" that wasn't awkward, he had his friendly smile on; good, he hadn't messed up.

he hadn't had the chance to talked to the younger girl again after their surprising conversations where hoseok had made her cry; he still didn't understand all of it but what was sure was that the king member was now incredibely awkward around her; what if he says something he shouldn't again? he had tried to avoid her as best as he could (making sure it wasn't noticable of course) but, just his luck, he had mistaken her for someone else and had daringly grabbed her shoulder. Imagine his surprise when her face was revealed under the bear costume. "Oh, hi", he uttered silently. The oversised costume looked good on her, made her look even cuter. "You're cute.", he said nonchalently before correcting himself in a hurry. he didn't want to make her cry again. "i meant the costume is. the costume."

it felt more comfortable talking to people he was close to than going around the party and meeting new people (which he had been doing for at least half an hour); he was glad he had somehow ended up being with the queen's maknae. the first thing he had noticed was her costume, indeed, it made her look even younger and cute; perfect for her really. "are you not going to save the world? i don't think you should be here." he pointed vaguely to one of the exits. "i'm sure someone needs your help and here you are having fun...i'm disappointed in you sailor moon" yes, hoseok was capable of joking around from time to time surprisingly.

the king and queens members had always been close; probably because they were both from prism and had similar debut dates one year apart wasn't a lot in his books) so when he saw the rapper close to the refreshments, he couldn't hide his smile. he felt somewhat closer to risa than the other members of queen, both of them being the leaders of their respective groups and having similar ages for sure played a big part in it. he grabbed two glasses of wine, handing one of them to her when he went to her side. "looking pretty as always.", he commented with a shy grin. "how have you been doing? i'm sorry i didn't contact you earlier, i was quite busy.."

company parties had only one good point for hoseok; being able to see his close friends. after all, besides a couple of non celebrity friends, he couldn't see the ones he cherished as much as he'd like, exactly because they were all so busy (himself included). because of his drama filming, almost all he had done for months was sleep, eat and film; seeing his old friend felt like a dream. he spotted his band member in the blink of an eye, all the way to the other side of the room.

it didn't take long before hoseok was right besides the other, arms open as he waited for a hug even though jaehyun had not noticed him yet and was busy talking with someone else. "what are you supposed to be?", he simply asked, nonchalently cutting off the boy's conversation. he normally would have waited as to be polite but hoseok's protectiveness had taken over; he just wanted to make sure the younger king member was doing good and had been doing well while he was busy.

“come on, it won’t be that bad.” a playful, teasing grin reached the woman’s lips, her boyfriend’s apparent disdain for social events amusing her. she knew that he had no interest in going, finding the gathering pointless and annoying. but risa wanted zhihao to enjoy himself or, at least, learn how to. however, the rapper also knew that the soloist had his limits so she decided to compromise. “we’re already here so let’s just stick around for an hour.” she pressed a quick kiss against his cheek. “then we can leave and do whatever you want.”
