When he finds out, Edgar plays it off as if he knew. He plans a HUGE surprise: a vacation and a party! He goes out of his way to go above and beyond, such as delicacies for dinner and desert, rare jewels for your presents, and even inviting your friends from the Black Army. After the party, you two are off on a mini vacation, just the two of you. He gracefully apologizes for the tardiness of your party, explaining that everything he required to make it perfect wasn’t going to arrive on time, hoping you don’t suspect a thing.
If there’s ever been a low moment in Ray’s life, this tops it. How could he forget your own birthday? Fenrir rubs it in after saying that you tried to drop hints when it was approaching, but he was too dense to take the hint. He knows you’re too modest to come out and just say it.
