We need to talk about the pureblood’s canon powers more so first of all MC comments on Comte having “vampiric speed or vampiric stealth?” in Shakespeare’s route
second of all in Leonardo’s route Comte “sensed Leonardo’s anger” after MC gets kidnapped for the billionth fucking time
and third of all in Sebastian’s route Leonardo was able to “sense” who was in the mansion???
I’m probably missing a few but I feel like the pure blood powers tend to fly over the radar…. I need to know more about their powers!!!
This all started from that one anon ask so here is some lore digital artwork. Disclaimer: this is my HC or AU or what I think so take it lightly. Remember to analyze the two digital image and wording, as they have references and hidden detail within. Especially turning your device lighting all the way up to see clearly.
Welcome~! One and all~! This will be where all the lore evidence and crumbs I leave. If your wondering when you noticed the lore: yes on all my Ikevamp OC. Cause each play a part, meaning, you will see some fun one-shots and all on here. Analyze, and read carefully. Cause the details and crumbs will be updated periodically while I leave screenshots and digital art and traditional art in your wake.
This is a disclaimer as this is my world building effort and interpretation. Of the ancient world way before the one of Cybird. So take it lightly if some seem quite fable and wacky. Lots of historical and unknown people will be somewhat mention. Now let’s gets started shall we?
Letter 1 that is a reply [have fun with this one~ it’s burned]
Digital artwork with poetry [analyze correctly, or you will miss it]
Notes on their calm presence and relationships [these are minor detail but crucial nonetheless]
Matriarch? [notice the stance and how Grandmother Olga is, this is a guess for you all to take…especially how she is in the center]
Core detail on the side-lore of Olga [see the interaction and stories, ignore the script and unhelpful narrator]
Zenobia and Dinh fight, but the interaction of the pureblood Queen dowager is important [notice the conversation of Olga and Y Lan, keep it in mind, analyze when the scene is directed at them]
Two images [carefully read and notice that there is no notes..this is an open-end one so check carefully 030]
Traditional art [check the surroundings, see what is repeating on both art]
Excerpt [read both emails carefully and the notes, refer back to the previous evidence]
Recount [this is open-ended so you all figure that one out 030]
Reveal(?) of Irene Yzystof [this is to get to know her, but..it’s also contains some of her background history]
More shall be posted. This Masterlist will have tags that will update, do watch out for that~! Also, I will post daily, or whenever I can, so watch out for that~!
Seeing as how I’ve spent far too much time considering this and collecting evidence to satisfy my dumb writer’s brain need for reference, I figured I would start a series of posts collecting the lore and information we have about the Ikevamp universe. Some of this is from the in-game glossary, and the rest is gleaned from information within both the English and Japanese versions of the game.
Please PLEASE be aware that there are potential SPOILERS below this cut - I refrain from specifics but there are plenty of generalized ones within.
Many thanks to @velociraptor-detective for helping me collect these and for being a sounding board. Let it also be known that I don’t proclaim to be an authority on these, and if anyone has contradictory evidence or would like to discuss the points laid out within, I’m more than happy and interested in hearing them!
So without further ado, Part 1: Vampire Physiology and Abilities!
CONFIRMED LESSER VAMPIRE PHYSIOLOGY/ABILITIES:
- They can be made one of two ways - via a contract with a pureblood, or via a bite from a pureblood. They can be brought back after death (See: Arthur's arrival story, where Saint-Germain converses with him after his death) or they can be made via biting a living person (See: Leonardo's route conflict, multiple JP kiss events with Saint-Germain and Leonardo where they bite and turn MC into a vampire)
- The vampires are resurrected, living beings. Not undead. They have heartbeats and warmth, they breathe, they can and do bleed if wounded.
- Food is digested but is not necessary, and it is not enough to sustain them. Blood, rouge, or blanc is required while food is an indulgence, although even blanc can only stave off cravings for so long (See: Isaac makes a point of eating alongside all of his rouge so that it will slow down his absorption of blood and not get him blood-drunk)
- Caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol do still have physiological effects on their bodies (therefore one would assume all other stimulants or depressants do as well)
- Retractable fangs that descend when needed (See: Arthur's arrival story)
- Orgasmic and/or highly-pleasurable bite, used to incapacitate prey
- A lesser vampire bite does not produce another vampire
- Resurrected with youth, though not necessarily entirely hale/whole (See: Certain vampires returning to life with scars acquired immediately before death - Jean, Theo. Certain vampires returning with afflictions that they suffered in life - Shakespeare and his blind eye.)
- Superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes
- Long-lived but not invulnerable. Damage to the heart especially seems to be able to kill a lesser vampire (See: Hooke being shot, Gauguin being stabbed) They can shrug off more damage than a human and still survive as long as everything vital is intact (See: Napoleon, Arthur, Theo, Shakespeare)
- None of the usual folklore weaknesses, as laid out by Sebastian (garlic, crosses, sunlight, etc etc etc)
- Eyes glow with unnatural light when angry
- Enhanced sense of smell, and a very strong attraction to the scent of those they love
- Close tie between bloodlust and desire/emotional attachment
- Hunger or injury can induce feeding-frenzy behavior or lapses in logic
CONFIRMED PUREBLOOD PHYSIOLOGY/ABILITIES (In addition to the above):
- Born to two pureblood parents
- Effectively immortal. Can shrug off physical damage, even to vital organs including heart (See: Leonardo's climax) Cannot starve, although they could go mad from hunger (See: Leonardo's conversation with le Comte re: the door)
- Biting a human produces a lesser vampire
- Even more enhanced strength/speed/reflexes
LESSER VAMPIRE SPECULATION:
- They are capable of reproducing (See: Arthur's (albeit) joke about having a baby, implied in Theo's JP wedding epilogue)
- Their resurrected forms seem to be strongly influenced by their preconceived self-image. Certain strong trauma or associations seem to manifest themselves even beyond their revival (See: Jean and Theo's scars acquired shortly before death persisting, or Shakespeare's blind eye) whereas others do not (Vincent does not seem to have a scar, despite a traumatic death)
- Improper resurrection can carry the risk of mental instability (See: every antagonist)
- The possibility that vampires are venomous creatures, albeit a venom that induces euphoria rather than harm? If so, their venom also appears to perhaps speed healing of bite marks, although it doesn’t eliminate them completely. It also stands to reason that when their fangs are out, some of the venom leaches into their saliva. (See: Arthur’s licking MC is pleasurable even beyond her discomfort, Vincent licking at bite marks on MC also induces euphoria)
PUREBLOOD SPECULATION:
- They are capable of some form of mild hypnotism (See: Leonardo derailing conversations, Saint-Germain as well at times. Leonardo ordering a man to run at the theater)
- They can speak with spirits of the recently deceased (See: Saint-Germain talking with Arthur shortly after his death in his arrival story, Leonardo speaking with the watchmaker)
- More than one is able to control time (See: whomever is traveling back and forth to resurrect the various antagonists as well)
