We've been thinking about how we want to illustrate our in-sys speech in visual form, conveying the difference between "verbal speech" and our actual thoughts because in some of our system's members including us, they're very clearly different. We're happy to discuss which style is the easiest to understand outside of our system while keeping these differences intact!
For the purposes of this post, any mention of speech refers to internal speech in our system.
Text is written normally, save for the square brackets that convey the idea that this is not spoken out loud. This is our default when texting people outside of the system, and this style is more commonly seen in members who verbalize very rarely or don't verbalize at all.
same as 1, but actual non-word verbalization is written out. This is more relevant for those of us who do verbalize a lot when communicating, but they can't really use words. Verbalizations are similar to the lines you get when you talk to NPC Pokemon in mainline Pokemon games, but without the name-repeating part. Both of us are prime examples of this, though it's more apparent on 🌈. We also thought about writing the verbalizations in Hiragana to properly show the pronunciations, but unfortunately not everyone can read that. Inspired by some of Furufoo's works like Field Research. (Warning if you're checking her other works: it draws a lot of transformation kink art, so tread with caution!)
Text is written in a conscript (in this case, Caps) to convey its difference from our usual verbal speech to out-sys people. This has a similar problem with the aforementioned Hiragana idea. Most people would need to look it up to understand it and this time it's not a widely-used writing system compared to something like Hiragana. But at the very least, it's still English, I suppose?
