I honestly wish that I didn't tell you I liked you so soon. I don't know why I went into it so quickly. If I had just gotten more time to talk to you and maybe been friends for longer, I would've been more capable of being there for you. But instead, it seemed as if we skipped being friends completely and instead went straight into trying to build a relationship. And with that, it felt as if we were doing both at once. Being friends, and being more than friends. I don't know if that makes sense, but that's the best I could describe it. I knew that you liked me, and you obviously knew that I liked you. And that's what frustrated me to this day: why didn't I do it? I keep telling myself that it's because you're so hard to approach for me. Maybe that's true, but I don't think that that's a reason I can settle with for the rest of my life. You were so easy to talk to, but I couldn't ask to out? I don't know, this really isn't intended for you, but for me. I guess I just needed to write this out to make it easier for me to process. But I don't think I regret telling you what I did. Yes, the timing could've been better. But who knows, maybe if I didn't tell you when I did, I wouldn't have taken you to prom, or given you that valentines day letter, or kissed you. But the past is the past, and neither of us can do anything about it now.

I'm glad I've let all of yesterday off my shoulders and threw away the timid memories hiding in the back of my mind. I can finally be able to say I'm proud of myself. I thank the higher powers and my own strength for allowing me to recollect myself and overcome the unnecessary shit I've gone through. I can say I'm happy with my life. I'm thankful for my loving mother, for my best friend, my grades, my job, my fucking cat and my contentment. Of course, happiness can only last for so long, but I feel as if I'm grounded to face the challenges and finally live.
