Ikyou (Variable Quality)
Ikyou is, in effect, a reverse ghost. A human being with the ability to separate their soul from their body and become--if for only a short time at night--a spectral entity. There are two general forms, one is that of a person driven by a strong negative emotion, but unable act upon them can gain this ability. Another form arises when a person is extremely ill or comatose. The ability itself varies in cost depending on how long the ghostly form appears, but gains the benefits of the Ghost quality, but at a cost reduced for three reasons. Firstly, they are unable to manifest their ability during the day (instead of the normal penalties a ghost suffers), cannot use any ghostly powers while in human form (attribute changes remain, however) and if the host body is destroyed or damaged, the spirit form suffers similarly--though it is far easier for them to become a normal ghost. If the Ikyou can manifest for 1 turn per SL in a Willpower (not doubled) roll, then the quality costs 12 points. If they can manifest their ghostly form for one minute per SL in the roll, it costs 17 points. If they can manifest for one hour per SL, it costs 27 points. When an Ikyou manifests its ghostly form, the body becomes prone and inert—barely alive--so securing the body is a must when this ability is activated.
Ikyou who are driven by intense anger or rage have a 3-point obsession (object of anger) attached to the quality, reducing the cost to 9, 14 and 24 points.
Iyouku who are comatose but otherwise normal reduce the cost by 5
