"Paint a life changing event" Then my peers ask questions, normal. ... Then T, a middle aged woman who is known for mentioning that she's retired and only doing art because she wants to and can afford all her supplies, starts making the comment that it's gross. Not my drawing. My medical situation. Yeah, I get it. It's gross. I don't mind people reacting like that, saying it once, because sometimes people can't help it. Not this time. She kinda went on for a hot minute there and I just ended it with "It may be gross, but this is my reality."
