Why do people feel so much for others and enjoy the thought of a troubled character? Because it's relatable I suppose.. and that character sure is somethin else... But perhaps my feet aren't quite on the ground as they should be...
But sometimes it feels like one can't get anywhere by foot nowadays...

Do you Dig?
When your car is dead and you have the best bf who comes to pick you up at school even when you never asked for it. I'm living a dream.
I walk,
…. I run, I drive, I also ride a bicycle and a motor scooter but of all these ways to travel, I love to walk! Unless I’m walking to exercise, when I’ll walk at a fast pace, I like to walk gently. When you walk gently, you slow down, your breathing slows, your brain goes into neutral and you have time to take in your surroundings, it’s very equalising, it’s a pace we don’t allow ourselves much of, these days. When I just walk I smell things - flowers, wood smoke, the ocean, toast, and the perfume of other women as they pass. I hear things - birds, music, others conversation and my own breathing.
It’s the small, incidental details that are the most rewarding! Beautiful spiderwebs glistening with dew, a perfect rose bud, the prettiest colour combinations of flowers, an awesome sunrise or sunset, a lovely house, a high tide looking as smooth as glass down on the river and then there’s the people I see. Some of these people I know others I don’t, but we nod and smile, and say “Hello” as we pass. The thing I like best about walking by myself is that I start to mentally hum, then into a vocalised humming followed soon after by a soft singing of absolute, total nonsense! It’s always rubbish, never a known song, always just a lah lah, de da de da, doop doop, lah lah sort of rubbish! Not the sort of thing I can indulge in when walking with Steve but….
it keeps me happy.
