Problem With Authority (TM) - which basically means you gotta earn his respect, instead of expecting it due to seniority or other bullshit metrics. Whip-smart, funny as heck, SUPER MEGA egalitarian and VOCAL ABOUT IT i love him so much. “NYPD means I will KNOCK YOUR PUNKASS DOWN.“ *wistfully admiring TLJ voice from commentary* “look at him. he’s so cool. he’s just so cool.” HE IS SO COOL.
His solution to the shooting range puzzle? Absolutely brilliant. MIB was so ahead of its time with the not-going-by-appearances that I could write a whole post just about that - but let’s leave it at the fact that Jay’s deduction in the gun range sequence clearly parallels Kay’s compassion towards the immigrants on the Arizona border in the opening scene.
Takes exactly zero shit, but is super willing to have his worldview expanded...eventually.
Jay What Is Your Fashion Sense. But Also I Love You.
Insists on leaving happy memories, beautiful cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure
gets soooper emotionally attached to Kay and is SO SAD WHEN HE LEAVES THAT HE NEURALYZES ALL HIS PARTNERS BECAUSE THEY DON’T MEASURE UP TO KAY ARE YOU KIDDING ME
BUYS PEOPLE PIE BECAUSE COMFORT FOOD
“DIDn’T YOUr MOThER EvER GIve YOU A GAMEBOY?????”
tl;dr I LOVE JAY. ALL HAIL JAY

Of Mice and Men - What drives/motivates you? /The Phantom of the Opera - What song currently defines your life?/ The Scarlet Letter - What’s your favorite word and what does that word mean?/ Wuthering Heights - Define your personal aesthetic./ Fahrenheit 451 - What’s your favorite book?
Of Mice and Men- I’m not really sure what drives or motivates me. Anxiety/Fear is a great motivator and I wish it was as easy as that but it never is. Add impulse into the mix and it makes a bad habit of working my butt off to get something I need or something that would put me in a better living state, only to drop it when I finally have it. OTL [ I guess if I can manage to pin one thing down..] It would be fear of failure and to make a difference/make the world better than I’ve found it, somehow. Phantom of the Opera- Hm.. that’s a good question! I don’t think I have a set song that describes my life but many? I was torn between posting the songs for the good and the bad parts of it but I think I’ll just use this one for an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxX7Gjy_9LA The Scarlet Letter- My favourite word currently is Equidistantly: The same distance (from each other, or in relation to other things). Wuthering Heights- My personal aesthetic.. that’s a hard one too! I’m drawn to soft/muted tones, bright/vivid shades and dark/deep hues in nature, architecture, technology and fashion, typography. I’m pretty creative with art, literary works and photography so I guess it would be the Artistic/Creative Aesthetic. Fahrenheit 451- My favourite books at the moment are: The Passage by Justin Cronin. [ Still have to finish it.. ] And Anne Rice’s Blood Canticle. I legit laughed out loud with how Anne had written one of the main characters, whining and complaining and lamenting to the reader. Tale of the body thief, written by the same author, comes in third. The feelings I had, reading that book..
Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scream, Annabelle
Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Hmm. I think the first thing that comes to my mind is not “dropping out” of high school. It was a stressful time for me, just coming into realizing that I had a significant mental illness that needed to be treated. I’m also a perfectionist/work-a-holic and in result, I was looking at being an honours recipient in my studies. That went straight to my head, making it my personal mission to take on as many studies and extra-credit work I could. I eventually “burned the candle at both ends”, so to speak and it was all downhill from there. I’ve since come to terms with it, knowing that high school isn’t for everyone, especially at such a critical time in someone’s life and I’ve since made it my focus to rectify my mistakes with the full intention of fixing them. Scream: I’m a cautious optimist? I would lie if I didn’t have fears of where my life is going, keeping me up at night. With that in mind, I’m open to the idea that no one really knows what’s waiting for them in the future. It’s kind of comforting to know that. The long and the short of it, yes, I believe my future is still very bright and I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes. Annabelle: I did as most kids would do: Spent time with their friends, played with my toys/video games and watched tv programs when given the chance. I was very active. I hiked, mountain-biked/climbed, swam, ect. I also loved to explore. Any given moment I would beg to go to the ravine/campground, just to spend the day taking in the scenery. I day-dreamed a lot, I had a huge imagination, still do. I probably blanked out most of my childhood that way, not entirely living in the present moment. I would daydream about different scenarios or stories that I’d make up in my head and try to re-enact them.
