911 truly missed out on an elephant in the room type scenario. More like elephant in the street.
Hear me out:
In Season 2 or 3 of JATP, there's a scene where there's fight within the band. Luke and Alex are arguing, but out of the corner of Julie's eye, she sees Reggie walking out of the garage.
She follows him, Luke and Alex still fighting in the background. Reggie is sitting in a tightly curled ball, his face not visible. Julie calls out to him and he looks up, and wipes his eyes/nose. She down to comfort him, but she notices a paper in between them. She picks it up and realizes it's "Home is where my horse is." She reads through, and she gently sings it, and we get a flashback.
We see Reggie morph into a younger version of himself, and we see Luke and Alex morph into his parents. As Julie sings, we all see what Reggie's home life was.
When the bridge begins, we watch Reggie walk out and walk for a little while, reaching a ranch. When the chorus begins, we see a Reggie walk up to one of the stalls. He's taking care of this young foal. He eventually takes it out of the stall and rides.
As the song ends, Julie looks up at Reggie to see him staring at the ground and he explains that Luke never really read into his lyrics
BONUS: The horse is alive but super old and reggie gets to see it
