Oh hello new year, my arch nemesis you.
Oh and hello reader (if I have any)..
Welcome to the wonderful blog world of me and my “weight loss journey”. Yeah, I don’t know why I feel the need to accentuate it with speech marks.. I guess I feel like “oh here she comes again, new year, new me”, “let’s jump on the blog bandwagon”.. but all I need to remember is that at the end of the day, I’m blogging this for me, so I should dismiss those feelings!
It also comes down to the fact that I’ve started (and never maintained) so many blogs that I almost want to say I don’t hold much faith in this one (ha!) but let’s keep it positive..
Yes, admittedly since the new year has set in I feel a new sense of purpose and would ideally like to run with it.. I’m hoping with the start of a wee blog (nothing too strenuous), a little goal setting and some real plans I manage to keep myself accountable.
I have struggled off and on for years with weight and health issues but have managed to get to a comfortable weight post pregnancy (weird right??). I’m not as heavy or unfit as I have been but I’m also not at my best.
I’m a full time working mama bear of 2 super young boys so at the moment, I can’t commit to anything that deviates from a normal day – so for these next 6 months (at least) I’ve a simple plan of:
Maintaining better eating habits
Setting weekly goals (for the next 3 months)
Setting an overall goal for the year
Rewarding myself for achieving said goals
Should be relatively easy right? LOL..
