I’ve always imagined him with quite a slinky gait. Somewhat graceful as it’s informed by dance and combat which gives him an awareness of his limbs, but combined with a disassociation of body & disregard of appearance. He slouches, tucks his elbows in, rolls his shoulders and hips. Takes long strides. Sometimes walks digitigrade for comfort or because he’s small and can’t see something.

He’s loose with humour, so he’s got ranged laughter. Like most people, I suppose. He scoffs, he chuckles, he splits into mad giggling (more often than you’d expect). It’s always light, though; both in tone and intent. Even when he’s being malicious or laughing at somebody else’s expense, it’s light enough to be considered sweet. Natural, I guess.In a word: Uncontained.I often think of him in terms of animal imagery, so barking-type laughter is a pretty accurate description. It’s not loud, per say, just kindof unrefined and instinctive.

For all that they did wrong, the Dalish, at least, did not allow themselves to be crushed beneath the heel of humans. They might be beholden to the shifting climes and long shadows cast by their vast empires, but they lived apart from them. They would not be tainted by the stink of shemlen flesh. Not so elves like her.
