Seeker illustration.

Inspired from a talk by Elsie magazine, I have tried to use a technique that he  showed us that he himself uses everyday to begin his creative thought processes. The activity Elsie uses is he will begin by picking a word that sounds interesting or that he likes and inputs it into a image search engine. Secondly he will scan across the images and select 6 or 8 and open them in photoshop. Finally he will begin to edit these images and composition them to create an interesting illustration that appears random from the original word searched. The illustrations created from this technique allows your mind to be free and lets you create anything without having a brief or client for it to fit to. I chose the word seeker. My final illustration ended up becoming a very playful and joyful image. I found that the activity was very challenging as editing photos I found tricky as I am still learning my way around Adobe Photoshop however, it is an activity that will help me to explore photoshop more and be loose with editing and making mistakes along the way. The technique itself was very playful as it does help you to tune in with your creative thoughts and mind to see something within a collage of random photos. Other creatives who have pursued in this activity have come out with beautiful illustrations and so it inspires me to continue in using this technique as a creative mind wakening technique.
