I have been getting into the Sims again and I came across this amazing build on Youtube you should definitely give it a watch!
This years graduating Ma Art and Science students with there degree show. Pieces are on the theory of everything, nerons, particle physics, systems and much more. It is on from 25th may until 29th at Central Saint Martins in the Granny Square London.
My experiments with adding colour behind my asitate drawings of black holes exploding out X-rays and uv with magnetic fields.
My Black Hole experiments into how you can visualise the movement and what happens when it shoots out x-rays and uv light.
Today was all about light and how we could change, divert and create different effects using light sources and various objects we could find.
Etching section yesterday to try out my idea that I would like to do with constellations.
This years Christmas window for Oxfam bookshop Guildford.
The MA Art and Science show on Archway on until Saturday with a wide range of science subjects used for inspiration.
States of Mind by Ann Veronic Janssens
360 view of the space.
This installation at the Welcome Collection was an amazing experience which made you feel like you where in an ∞ space and it was hard to walk normally because on not being able to see the floor. It is a must visit and is on until 3rd January.
BLACK LIGHT EXPERIMENTS
Yesterday we had a workshop on light and the different light we could use for our work. I am interested with using the dark light for a project and found some really useful things about acidic fruit that I could use.
An 'objective' drawing. To creat our 'objective' drawing we created a divise which uses a pencil, pin and string to help draw the life model. This made it hard as you could only use curved motions and our scale was small but it was really fun!
Heat Rises
This is an illustration which i have been working on for a while about heat. I have chosen to represent the heat by the smoke shaped as a ghostly form and natural heat represented by the face and hair of a woman. This to reflect the manmade and nature properties which each poses.
It is a combination on hand drawn and digital
Sketching the customers at the shop to get back into drawing again😃
Supersymmetry by Ryoji Ikeda @ brewer street car park soho
(please don’t watch or go if you are sensitive to flashing lights)
This piece of work reflects an artist vision of what is happening at the LHC at cern. It shows an interpretation of the quantum mechanics and theory through light, sound, movement and visual graphics. The space creates the atmosphere of what it would be like when the LHC is working and is really immersive experience.
Space Post Cards
This is a set of post cards that show the solar system. I limited myself to create the planets and asteroids out of triangles. This created a cool 3D effect to the planets surface and extenuates the different colours the planets have. I limited myself to only using triangles because I want to design some thing to fit in with the style of my room, which consists of triangular objects at the moment.
Designers in Residence 2014 : Torsten Sherwood
Design museum London
This is a child's toy by designer Torsten Sherwood. He uses cardboard with interlocking sides to create a tool which can build any type of structure you can imagine, he was inspired by lego but wanted to create something that was on a larger scale, using the same principles. On the left is a moomin house created for the exhibition and the one on the right is my chair. It was great fun and would get kids to think more about how structures are made.
