Warrior Woman, digital, me, 2022 I usually don’t do much thirsty art, but I’ve always kind of wanted to. I like the way I got the light. I was taking color and atmosphere cues from a couple of Frank Frazetta paintings. It’s been a couple of weeks since I painting this, I notice the flaws. Youtube’s Baumgartner Restorations has said that feet are harder to paint than hands and I’m starting to agree with him. I’ve never tried to paint someone quite this ripped before, so that was a fun challenge too. I’m taking a figure drawing course soon. I’m hoping some time working from life will help me over this plateau.
