Yay, I'm glad it went so well!
Thanks! I am happily surprised!

I think in this case 'it' stand on fit the phrase "the person knocking at the door" rather than the knocking itself. Like if someone came up and said "oh one of our friends got a promotion!" You could reply with "oh, who is it?" with it meaning the person who got the promotion. It is just much easier to say than that whole phrase.
it seems weird to me that english as a whole decided that “it” is a suitable placeholder for a person, though, but ONLY in the case of “who is it?” (and the response “it’s me!”)

Fair, but also the three of them could very easily carry the dondai together and probably jump back to Beach City with the Dondai in under an hour.

Long after the feast ended the dark haired King sat in front of his fire, a sealed scroll held in his hand. A letter from her grandfather, she said. Mahal help him, he was seventy years older than her Grandfather and somehow he still felt terrified. "Best to get it over with." He sighed and cracked the wax seal in half To Thorin, son of Thrain King Under the Mountain, Best wishes from me and my family. We are proud to call Erebor and the dwarves of Ered Luin our new partners in trade. We hope you find our seeds and saplings as useful in your Kingdom as your peoples iron work has been in the Shire. If you or your kin are ever in the Shire I urge you to seek welcome at my table, all of Durin's line will always find a warm hearth and hearty meal in the home of the Tooks. -May your spring be green – Thain Gerontius Took of the Shire Well that wasn't so bad! Perhaps Billa's Grandfather was glad of his presence in her life, Thorin unrolled the rest of the parchment, his letter was awfully short, and sure enough several inches below the Thain's signature there was more writing. To Thorin Oakenshield, You best keep your hands off my Granddaughter you cad! You dare propose to Billa before a Declaration of your Intent and without one Deed of Love in her honor? What kind of hobbit do you think she is? Your behavior is completely unacceptable and must be remedied immediately! By the time I arrive you best have yourself straightened out. Just because Billa loves you doesn't mean you get to be a lazy, lumbering sod. I shall be arriving with the last caravan in summer accompanied by my seven adult sons, Billa's very protective, very upset, Uncles. You had best get your act together before I get there or there will be consequences! – Billa's very angry Grandfather, Gerontius Took. Ah, well, that was more along the lines of what Thorin expected but did he really need to bring his seven oldest sons with him? That is just overkill. Thorin dropped his head into his hands, if Billa's family were anything like her then having them enraged at him before even meeting was probably not his best decision.

Also, if the original Japanese doesn't have him say exclusively, then he should not have said that he exclusively likes girls in the NA version. You could also just change the support so it more accurately reflects that (cause he can still like girls and be married to/in a long-term relationship with a guy.
Right, the “exclusively” being an NA-only thing makes me feel a bit better about it.
