does anyone else have the piano piece that plays when tohru remembers her mom stuck in their head on repeat, just those few notes over and over again. it is befittingly sad and lilting and i love it. homegirl knows how to make me cry, going on about how "I'll never get to hear her say those words again," when she thinks back to how kyoko would express her love for her and i am already teary at this point, then they go and add that music and I'm outright sobbing? how.

maybe it wasn’t your looks, but hatsume certainly could say you were beautiful. your selflessness, kindness, the way you bit your tounge when you laughed, and that stupid fidgeting you do.

it’s absolutely adorable to her.

there the two of you were: hatsume sitting at her desk toying and fixing up a few projects, and you on your back, head laying in her lap and feet balancing on a hamper a few feet away.

you nuzzled the back of your head even deeper into hatsume’s lap with a big, giddy, whole-hearted smile on your face. hatsume dropped what she was doing and looked down at you.

the way the moonlight hit your face through the window made you look like an absolute god/goddess. your hair all sprawled out, excess sticking to your forehead. “aww, y/n, you’re so cute.” she finally said with a light blush on her face.

yes, she knew you were affectionate, but she wonder what came over you to make you want to love her so much. “n-not as much as you, sweetheart.” you finally managed out. she softly kissed your forehead and continued messing with her unfinished work.

eventually, you fell asleep. lightly snoring and occasionally muttering gibberish, hatsume looked down once again. she noticed the bit of drool sliding down your chin. she felt her heart squeeze from her adorable s/o.

she pulled out her phone and snapped a picture, forgetting the flash was on, causing you to stir a bit in your sleep but not waking up. “this will make a great background.” she muttered while turning the device off and setting it down with a soft grin.
