C and K for the ask game :)
Hey! Thank you for the ask :D
C. Favorite friendship
So this has to be Sam and someone. Has to be. Because all of my favorite relationships in this show involve him haha Many of them are more familial than friendship though, so I’ll go with Sam and Cass. I know a lot of people in our corner of fandom don’t like Castiel much, but I wouldn’t go this far personally - for me, it really depends on who he’s interacting with. (I thought his relationship with Jack was very sweet, I cheered when canon!Megstiel happened, and so on.)
And Sam and Cass’s friendship is just... so chaotic. I just love how, when left to their own devices, they just try very dangerous experiments (usually on Sam) and let’s be honest, I like seeing anyone concerned about Sam so all those scenes in 9x11 and 15x07 for example made my day :D (Also 12x01, 9x10, 14x15, 15x17 for a bit, etc.)
So yeah!! Sam and Cass’s chaotic friendship for the win. :D
K. Favorite recurring villain
Ooooh that’s a good question. I would definitely say Lucifer if it wasn’t for very specific reasons (i.e., once again, his relationship with Sam - not in a shippy way, I’m just absolutely fascinated by their dynamics in the show), and for the fact that I can’t justify calling him my favorite villain when episodes like 13x13 exist.
So I’ll say Azazel instead!! There was just something about him that other villains never had. He’s one of the only villains that lasted two seasons, and he was such an ominous presence throughout. He was a mystery to unravel. Who killed their mom? Okay, who killed their mom AND Jess? Oh it’s a demon? We’ve only seen one of these! Oh he’s more powerful than other demons? Oh he’s got yellow eyes? He’s got plans for Sam and children like him! What are they? What does John know? Oh he wants John dead! Oh he wants Dean dead! Oh he’s killed John and he’s got the Colt!
... you get my point haha And that was just season 1! And we didn’t even know his name until two episodes after he died, either!
Azazel was one of the most terrifying villains, even though they faced beings that were so, so much more powerful than him in later seasons - hell, he killed both of our protagonists’ parents. What a threat.
