What are your thoughts so far for the following games?: Obit, IloveyouRPG and Imaginary Friends.
ObitI love the B&W gradients and the art style in general (YES it looks SO DIFFERENT AND IS WELL DRAWN GOOD JOB), and the plot is a bit intriguing and different but I don’t know anything else other than that it’s like an Alice in Wonderland story, so, yeah. :T It just recently started up, so I don’t have much to say about it yet!
ILoveYouRPG Graphics: I think that DocDere’s art style can get stiff at times, but the artwork is pretty good otherwise and the Doctor has their own unique flavor of art in the mist of the more anime-style games coming out. Like the color pallet the game’s using, but I think Anglica blends into the background a bit. Monsters look pretty darn awesome.
Protagonist: She looks so sassy, and I love how dynamic her pigtails are, I like her. Can’t say much other than that other than I hope she’s an interesting character.
Story: Generic stuck in an area idea, but the mystery behind who/what invited her and what’s going on sounds cool. I like the coffins a lot. I am quite intrigued. :o
Final: I like the idea of this game more than the first one they wanted to do, Cook. Will the demo be released on schedule? I hope so!
Imaginary FriendsGraphics: Both the drawn imagery and the sprites go well together. It’s not the most unique art style (and really, it doesn’t have to be at all I’m just mentioning it because I did last two), but it seems very fitting for the tone of the game so far and I honestly wouldn’t want to see it change. The art is very good is what I’m trying to say.
Characters: Nothing much other than I like the idea of a kind, shut in protagonist and I’m wondering if the Bat kid’s going to be her enemy later (prob is but who knows). Not much has been revealed about them.
Story: I think it’s going to be another Alice in Wonderland story, but I like the idea of dealing with the protagonist problems in her dream world (I always do >w< *points to blog url*). It sounds like it will be a character driven story, and I love those!
Etc: Love the weekly updates, the development bar, and that the dev is promoting their blog outside of tumblr via convention (go you!).’
…I’m not sure why you asked me about those three games in particular, but you can ask me about more if you want! C:
