Name on Ao3: thatsmistertoyou
Fandom(s): phandom, supernatural
1. Fic you spent the most time on: realistically, If Lost, Return to Phil. wrote that beast over several months and worked on it for innumerable hours. But, Kinsey Two is probably a close second, if we’re counting stand-alones.
2. Fic you spent the least time on: maybe SOS? It was for phandomlittlepop so the idea was to write less than 1k and I still went over after massive edits. I remember writing the whole thing in one or two sittings and just banging it out because the pressure was so low. Can’t recommend that experience enough.
3. Longest fic: with 53k, If Lost, Return to Phil again. I’m guessing she’s going to be the answer to a lot of these.
4. Shortest fic: at 372 words, I actually forgot about this little one - Ten Things
5. Most hits: with 85k hits (!!!) If Lost, Return to Phil
6. Most kudos: If Lost, Return to Phil again (3336 kudos wow)
7. Most comment threads: If Lost, Return to Phil again again - almost 400 comments! (thank you for commenting if you ever have. I get emails for comments and kudos and I appreciate every single one.)
8. Fave fic you wrote: In the interest of keeping things interesting, I’ll pick one that hasn’t been mentioned yet - When the Sun Came Up. It’s a good angsty time and my fave part of the series.
9. Fic you want to rewrite/expand on: I’d like to revisit Right Where We Are at some point. I have a couple of old drafts/ideas that I might turn into something. Please let me know if you want to see the series come back/what you’d like to see <3
10. Share a bit of your WIP or share a story idea that you’re planning:
Dan flops onto the bed, hair still damp, and curls into Phil’s open arms. Phil holds him like it’s his job, rubbing soothing lines against his back and tucking them securely under the covers.
Dan really doesn’t have the verbal capacity to express how thankful he is for Phil in this moment, or most other moments where Phil is exactly what he needs. They didn’t get here naturally, though - it took a lot of painstakingly detailed communication and a large learning curve for Phil to learn what Dan needs in each one of his ten thousand depressed moods.
And the best part is Phil never made Dan feel like a burden for it. That’s how Dan learned to accept his comfort without guilt. All of depression’s nasty baggage - guilt, shame, feeling like you’re not worth the effort - truly unconditional love, he’s learnt, is the antidote.
So he lets Phil hold him, lets him not fully understand, lets him not know what else to do, because it’s the best they can do. He clings to Phil like he clings to the hope that tomorrow will be better.
He tries to take it one day at a time.
