Don't worry, it's only a phase. Puberty was harsh on Achilles. He went from cherubic ginger ball of fluff to awkward, spotty and gangly. His mother, Thetis, was so terrified by the this change that she decided if her son couldn't be attractive, he'd damn better be talented.
Achilles spent those few years incredibly busy. He learnt the violin, both pop and classical vocals, spanish classical guitar, ballroom dancing and lacrosse. His mother made him join all sorts of sports teams, as well. He became captain of track and field, and was a rising name in the gymnastics team. That leotard did things for his reputation.
By the time he started into highschool, the majority of his spots had faded, and he had finally grown into his skin. He had a shaggy undercut of ginger hair that was due a trim, curling around his ears, bright green eyes, sharp cheekbones and a soft dusting of freckles.
("Achilles?" asks Patroclus. "Oh, yeah. That dude's got hips like sin and abs like a washboard made for licking. Uh. Don't quote me on that.")
