macy. ur about to get some unpopular opinions. the first of which is: it is so hard to discern what Objectively Bad Media is """okay""" to enjoy and at this point, i think that's kinda something that is up to user discretion. bc like. no media is perfect, and anything out there is bound to have something you can criticize. but also... some things are definitely worse than others, but it's up to each individual person to kinda decide like how willing they are to consume something and by extension, how much energy they're willing to put into acknowledging the Bad Parts of that media bc i don't think it should go TOTALLY ignored. like my personal example is.... yes, t.wilight is a fucking dumpster fire of Problems in like so many ways.... but i will still rewatch the movies from time to time bc they're just so bad i can't help but enjoy them (while also acknowledging like smyer or whoever ur kind of a freak girly). but then take something like h/arry p/otter, which i enjoyed so much as a kid and teenager.... it's... kind of hard for me to enjoy it anymore because so much of the worldbuilding is deeply problematic in terms of how much it relies on racism, antisemitism, transphobia, homophobia, etc. but i won't fault anyone who looks at these things, acknowledges them, and wants to put the energy and effort into reshaping the world in a way that it removes all these horrible things (aside from the fact that i think to do any of that, you end up so completely removed from h/arry p/otter its essentially a different story/world with characters of the same names sdnfjfads -- besides the point).

kind of coinciding w that . even tho i don't Go to h/arry p/otter anymore. and i don't remember that much abt the housing system other than the fact that it sucks for literally anyone who possesses more than two personality traits. my probably incredibly unpopular opinion is that sae-byeok fits best as a h/ufflepuff. hard work and fairness, undying loyalty to those deemed deserving of it. catch the vibes if u can.

and lastly, it really is fucking. odd to me that so many people just like straight up refuse to mention that gi-hun also tricked and betrayed his partner during the marbles game. i know why that is. it's because not only does il-nam not actually die, but we find out that's he's literally fucking reprehensible and a downright evil old man. but within the context of the games, just the games, gi-hun is knowingly tricking who he believes to be a fragile old man suffering from dementia. i just don't understand why people spit on sang-woo and call him a pile of hot garbage for what he did to ali, when gi-hun did essentially the same damn thing to il-nam!!!! like at least be consistent about it idk skfnjdsfndf

it was alarming how normal they looked.    the two slumped bodies of the curators had been positioned back to back with a thick white rope fastened around their bare torsos to keep them in place.   soira crouched before them and cocked her head.    one sported a head of tight dark curls and the palest skin she had ever seen while the other had shaved half her hair off as customary of the kestam.   both looked young.   too young to be fighting a centuries old war.    but perhaps the same could be said about her.    a girl who had just finally grown into her mop of hair and still moved with the ferocity of a woman not yet jaded nor scorned.    she carefully pressed the end of what looked like a thumbtack into the side of the unconscious girl's neck.    it matched the purple one nestled in her partner’s skin.    the pins were laced with minor tranquilizers that would ensure they slept through the entirety of soira and ryung’s visit.    assuming they were in and out as quick as they anticipated.

soira pushed herself back up onto her feet and twisted her body to admire how the snow white curator uniform fit like a glove.    she was in the middle of tightening the belt around her waist when the bathroom stall behind her slowly swung open.    the renegade had to bite hard into the flesh of her cheeks to prevent herself from keeling over with laughter at the image she caught of the man in the mirror.    turning around excitedly,   her dark eyes scanned ryung’s stolen attire.    while soira’s looked like it had been made just for her,    ryung’s was the equivalent of someone’s erotic bedroom fantasy.    ❝    i think it’s absolutely perfect !   ❞   she clapped her hands together to further punctuate the taunt.    ❝    perfect for winning yourself a little curator girlfriend !   just make sure to flex your glutes when you walk.   ❞    she pressed the back of her hand to her lips to stifle a snort but couldn’t help herself from adding further salt to the wound.    ❝    but serious question,   can you even walk in that ?    you look a little … suffocated.    ❞    she looked pointedly downwards before arching a brow.

     she kind of wants to just bite harrow’s finger.  the intermediary gesture was an attempt to shut gideon up, probably, because when did harrowhark ever do anything but look for ways to shut gideon up — but it has the unfortunate effect of making gideon want to just chomp the fuck down on that single, presumptuous digit.  the reverend daughter is pushing her luck, and . . . what is she standing on to be able to reach up this high, anyway?  casting a cursory glance down for bone constructs in the shape of stilts, she mumbles against the finger: “ have you touched any corpses in the last ten minutes?  you smell corpse-y.  that finger smells corpse-y. ”

she carried the dust-and-paint scent of ninth house with her everywhere.  almost perpetually, but especially after a long day of fooling around with bones ( note to self: make a joke of that later, when that gross corpse-touching hand isn’t on my mouth ).  gideon should have been used to the smell of it by now, but — the sudden proximity was doing stupid things to her head.

“ hey.  you can step back now — the halls are empty, ”  and this is getting uncomfortable.  “ i checked, harrow.  there’s no-one following us.  i do take my job as the ball to your chain somewhat serious.  whatever you’re sensing is probs just the lack of sleep talking.  back up. ”
