Mun name: Cresselia
Pronouns: he/him
Timezone: PST
Discord: [redacted]
Character name: Palmer Tsugu
Age: 45
Pronouns: he/him
Team: Dragonite / Milotic / Rhyperior / Heatran / Regigigas / Cresselia [private note : if there are conflicts with his legendaries due to another spectator/entrant having them, I can be flexible and can likely replace them with other Pokémon! they are pokémon he has in canon, though!]
What they’re doing: Spectator
Credentials: Frontier Brain, he’s also got 8 Sinnoh badges under his belt
Possible plot role: A sponsor/donor, either providing funds to run the event or donating prizes - he’s a wealthy celebrity with the means to do so, and Palmer loves having the name recognition that comes with being involved with large events. He also lives for competitions, and is thrilled just to be there.
I’m receptive to there being rumors of bribery or under-the-table exchanges to do with the event, of him trying to tilt the cards in favor of a preferred candidate. In actuality, though, he would be keeping an eye out for any potential bribery, following any leads that he notices; after all, he doesn’t want his reputation tarnished for being associated with a rigged event.
While he’s less familiar with Showcases than he is with battles, Palmer’s entire battling style is centered around being as showy as possible - he knows how to make sure things are entertaining for the crowd. As such, he’d be thrilled to give private criticism and feedback backstage to entrants about their routine and how he feels they can improve.
Palmer feels comfortable letting his Pokémon roam alone, so long as the space allows, so there is absolutely possibility for interactions between his team and other involved muses - it would just have to be plotted out with individual muns.
Other: Palmer isn’t completely incorruptible. He’s doesn’t want to be involved with making bribes, but if he’s placed under enough ‘pressure’ (if he’s pressured to via threats to his reputation or safety) he may very well crack and try to tilt the odds in an entrant’s favor through such means, even if he’s doing it against his will.
He also has zero clue about any interpersonal drama going on between any spectators, entrants, and judges. He’s completely out of the loop in that department - Palmer’s really just here to be involved in the competition.
not completely incorruptible, you say? do i smell a PLOT coming up? accepted!
