Today my family had to make the hard decision to put my dog, Millhouse, to sleep. He lived a long, happy 14 years and he made my day brighter every time I saw him. I keep expecting him to walk to where I am sitting and smack his head against my leg to pet him. I keep expecting to find him laying on the kitchen floor or on his bed as I get up to walk to another room. I keep expecting him to run back and forth between the cookie jar and where I'm standing, waiting for me to give him one as I walk by the kitchen. It's ganna be a hard time transitioning without him, but I'm happy that he didn't need to suffer anymore and that he lived a long life.
