THE THWME OMG VYON ❤️❤️❤️
omg... stop it... gotta keep the people on their toes :p
hiii muckla!!!! do u perhaps have any helpful tips or advice on writing? I've been rereading ur fic recently and I really, really do enjoy your writing style!!! like anything that u find helpful with dialogues or maybe even with the most basic sentences idk.....
kas this is so ahdjksjeiiwhqjqjkaksjshsjjsk????!!!!!!?????!!!!!!!!
i have Rarely written creatively before this fic!!! this means SO much!! but its also why i literally dont know what to say
what i try to find is a good balance between details and simplicity. i personally don't like too simple descriptions and too short sentences, it seems too obvious to me. (btw everything i say here is the standard i hold myself to, i still enjoy other writers fiction even if they don't fit this)
so i wouldnt write three short sentences but try to connect them or give each of them a but more meaning with a detail added to it that expands the scenery. but you really have to find a middle ground here or it sounds too try-hatd sophisticated. so ig i try to write a simple sentence and then elaborate on it in the sentence afterward?
(i think i alr said this in another post so sry if u read that one but) i also really try to create visuals by describing appearances, movements or certain sceneric elements that also convey a feeling. f.e. to show remus being hopeful/happy i described the sunshine and how it changes the atmosphere/scene and then what it does to him!
del said this once and i also do it but i often follow the formula of: something happens, show a character's reaction (internal or external) and then use that as a starting point to elaborate on a certain topic/point you want to make.
what i also 'learned' is that each scene has a mission/meaning! even if its just a friendly chat between friends it can be used as exposure, to characterize a relationship or a certain aspect of a character that comes to light through that scene. and really think about where in the story it would make sense to put that scene.
also bc of my dislike for simplicity in my writing i always try to use synonyms and different words. (except for names idk why but it cringes me out to say 'the smaller boy' even if it makes my writing more crunchy to constantly say their names)
when describing emotions i get very literal. i describe how it feels in my body to feel that emotion or what associations the emotion gives me
uuuuugh idk if this is helpful im sorry 😫
what is the etiquette here to replying to someone's tags on your post? because some of you guys are so funny
