What 100 years and a magic disease will do to a guy
*pokes my head in*
oh hi 👋
Happy valentine's day!! Imma just share smth which I drew and something which my boyfriend decided to write for me aaaaa im dying 😭😭
I tried drawing the both of us as our OCs for milsim but only got to the rough outline lmaoo... the "artstyle" kinda makes up for it
What he wrote for me though 😭
" When she smiles at me, it calms something in my chest. I can breathe easier without knowing why. It’s not loud or dramatic; it just happens. My heart seems to recognize something before my mind does. Being around her makes time slow down, and somehow the noise in my head just stops. It feels like the world finally decided to give me a break the moment she stepped into it. She does little things that she probably doesn’t even notice. She listens instead of waiting to speak. She stays present, and it feels genuine. It’s never for attention and never to impress anyone. That’s what makes it matter so much more. Those moments stick with me longer than the big, dramatic ones ever could because they feel real in a way nothing else does. Her smile really should come with a warning. It captures me every single time. With one look, my guard slips away before I can stop it. I find myself wondering if she can see how quickly my heart reveals my feelings for her. She changes my whole mood so easily without even trying. She’s not just cute; she’s herself. She’s the kind of person you can’t confuse with anyone else. She’s the first person I think about when something good happens. She’s the one I want to tell, even about the little things. Her name pops into my head when I wish someone were right beside me. A moment feels incomplete without her there. If love has a feeling, it’s this quiet, steady pull toward her. It’s not rushed or forced; it’s just constant. It’s something real and warm, honest and a little scary. It’s something I don’t want to pretend isn’t there because it already means too much. "
Holy im dead
Your melody is so beautiful. It was easy to fall in love with it. Everyone could see how beautiful it was even if it seemed chaotic sometimes.
But the closer I got to it I realized that it was missing notes, notes I’d naturally filled in when I heard it. Notes that made the chaos of it make sense. I chalked it up to age, we were still young after all.
But I couldn’t fill those notes in with my melody, and I couldn’t help you complete your own melody. In fact I felt I was stressing your melody out with my desire to be of help and close to you.
So maybe letting you go was the best choice even if it made me sad. Because what a beautiful song you have.
Then I realized. Your melody was half of the most beautiful duet. A duet that brought out your missing notes with ease and soothed the notes in the most beautiful way.
It was the boy whose melody didn’t sound like his own more often than not. Whose true melody only came forward when the tempo was changed. Whose true melody sounded best when it sang along with yours.
He was the other half of your duet.
The world’s most miraculous duet.
Hearts of Albion
The night pulsed with a suffocating tension, the air thick and oppressive, mirroring the storm brewing on the horizon. The sound of clanging armor and hurried footsteps reverberated through Camelot’s stone halls as Uther’s knights scoured every corner in search of the magic-user.
Arthur and Merlin pressed themselves into the shadows of a dimly lit alcove, their heartbeats synchronized with the distant rumble of thunder. The wind outside roared, assaulting the castle’s ancient walls, as if echoing the danger that prowled so close to them.
When the knights had passed, Merlin collapsed to the ground, his usual confidence giving way to quiet resignation.
His magic had been revealed in the heat of battle in a recent attack on Camelot. There there had been no time for caution. The people, including Uther, had seen him. Though it had saved countless lives, it had also betrayed him to those who still clung to Uther’s deep-seated hatred of the arcane.
Arthur sank to the floor beside Merlin, burying his face in his hands. When he finally spoke, his voice was thick with frustration and despair. “I can't let this happen. Not like this. If only… if only I had more power, if I were king already, I could protect you, I could—”
Merlin shook his head, then turned to face Arthur. He gently took Arthur's face in his palms. He looked him right in the eyes, and spoke with quiet certainty.
“Arthur, this isn’t your fault. The people are still afraid of magic and that’s not something you can undo overnight. As long as Uther remains king, I’m a danger to you and to this kingdom.”
Arthur leaned on Merlin's hand, his voice choked with emotion. “But you're not! I—I can’t just let you go. I can’t lose you, Merlin—not like this.”
Merlin’s gaze softened, though his heart ached just as fiercely. “You’re not losing me, cabbagehead. But for now, you have to let me go. If I stay, Uther will eventually find me, and he’ll have my head chopped off. He might even do it himself if he found out about us." Merlin tried to jest, but Arthur only looked even more miserable. "And you… you’ll be forced to choose between me and Camelot. I won’t let you be put in that position.” Merlin continued.
Arthur’s eyes flashed with the fire of his emotions. “If I were king—”
“But you’re not,” Merlin interrupted gently. “And until you are, there’s nothing you can do to change this. You have to trust that this is the best way to keep both of us safe.”
The reality of Merlin’s words hit Arthur like a blow. He was the crown prince of Camelot, destined to rule, yet at this moment, he was powerless to protect the one person who mattered to him the most.
He looked away, unable to face Merlin, the weight of his helplessness almost unbearable.
“I will come back,” Merlin said, gently turning Arthur to face him once more. His voice was soft yet resolute. “And when I do, it will be to a Camelot where I don’t have to hide anymore, where we can be together without fear. And it will all be because of you, Arthur.”
Arthur’s breath caught as Merlin pulled him close, bridging the distance between them.
When they finally parted, Arthur searched Merlin’s eyes for any hint of uncertainty but found none.
“I don’t know how long that will take,” Arthur whispered, his voice trembling with the fear of the unknown.
Merlin met Arthur’s gaze with a steady, reassuring look. “It doesn’t matter how long. What matters is that when the time comes, we’ll be ready. I believe in you, Arthur. I believe in what you’ll become.”
Arthur swallowed hard, nodding, though his heart screamed against the thought of letting Merlin go. “Be careful out there, all right? I'll write to Hunith."
They gazed at each other, the world seeming to pause as they took in every detail of one another’s face, committing the other’s feature in their memory to hold onto forever.
Eventually, Merlin stood up, his hand slipping from Arthur’s as he turned to leave.
“I’ll be waiting,” Arthur said, his voice steady despite the tears that threatened to fall. “And when you return, we’ll make this right. Together.”
Merlin nodded, a sad smile on his lips. “Together,” he echoed, he echoed softly, before slipping out of the alcove. As he left, the storm broke, rain pouring down like a reflection of the tears neither of them could shed.
Years had passed since that night, and the memory of Merlin’s departure had never faded from Arthur’s mind. Now, as he sat on Camelot’s throne, no longer a prince but a king, the weight of those years as heavy as the crown atop his head.
The kingdom had prospered under his rule, but the absence of Merlin had left a void that no amount of success could fill.
Arthur had dedicated his reign to changing the laws that had driven Merlin away. He had worked tirelessly to reshape Camelot, to lead his people towards a future where magic could be accepted, where the fear instilled by his father could be overcome. But it had been a long and difficult journey, one that had taken far longer than he had ever anticipated.
The years had not been kind to Arthur. His face bore the lines of countless battles fought—both on the field and within the court—but his eyes still burned with the determination that had carried him through.
And now, finally, the day had come when magic was no longer a crime in Camelot.
When the delegation of magic users accepted his invitation to visit Camelot, Arthur’s heart raced with anticipation. Among them, he knew, was Merlin. The thought of seeing him again, after all these years, was both exhilarating and terrifying. What would Merlin think of the man he had become? Would the bond they shared still be as strong as it once was?
“Announcing Emrys, the leader of the druids, and his people!” the herald’s voice echoed through the great hall.
As Merlin entered, the room seemed to hold its breath. Arthur’s heart skipped a beat. The man before him was older, his face bearing the marks of time and hardship, but those piercing eyes remained as intense as ever.
The moment their gazes met, the connection between them flared with undeniable force.
Merlin moved with a commanding presence, each step deliberate as he approached Arthur. He stopped before the throne, bowed deeply, and then knelt on the floor, his companions following in solemn silence.
“King Arthur Pendragon,” Merlin’s voice rang out, strong and full of emotion. “It is an honor to finally be in your presence.”
Arthur, overwhelmed by a surge of emotions, rose from his throne. The crown felt heavy on his head as he walked toward Merlin.
The people of Camelot watched, their breaths held, as their king knelt before the druid leader. Arthur gently cupped Merlin’s face in his hands, is voice thick with unspoken regrets for the time it took to fulfill his promise.
“Welcome home, Merlin.”
