The au takes place around when Felix and holly found the ruins in Holly's hometown, and while they are exploring, and the rest of the gang is doing their thing, they accidentally stumble upon this ink that drags them all, (not at the same time) in this abandoned studio they didn't know existed in the first place.

the first ones to go are Alice, bendy and Boris, as they will merge and fuse with their batim counterpart and soon become one (that's why we only see the ink demon, although in the form of im bendy and not im bendy himself.)

Then the rest comes up, Cuphead, mugman, holly and Felix, and they have to escape the studio, kind of like the labyrinth, while they try to survive the ink demon and the rest.

Thing is! They will also find more about bendy :3
