I want to make my own warriors rewrite. Any tips?

Honestly, I’m not sure what advice I can really give, because I went so far off of canon with my rewrite that it might as well be its own thing. The point of a rewrite is to keep the spirit of the source material without tripping over the same gopher holes, or to at least provide an interesting revision of canon history (which is technically an AU but, eh, details). 

I guess if I had to tell you something, it would be to go over canon with a fine comb, figure out what you don’t like, and then fix it how you want. Sometimes this requires a complete overhaul, sometimes it’s just one little twitch of change, but whatever it is, do something about it. 

It’s not too difficult, really. All you need to do is start with the books and rewrite what sucks from your perspective. The nice thing is that it doesn’t require 3 PHDs for what is essentially a fanfic. Just some determination and careful planning.
