I’m gross.
Lexter sighed, leaning his head on his hand. He thought about his comrade; more specifically, Rainold. And more specific than that, Lucy. Lexter knew she felt a lot of pain and he couldn’t help. So, in a brilliant moment of thought, he stood up, declaring to himself: “I’m going to cheer her up!”
With the fake deman horns he made mounted on his head and cloak on, he marched to fine the horned beauty, becoming a little bit more smirky and cocky than he should have. Rano and Lessa had slipped out to do some shit he wasn’t involved in; Jin and Mienna were in the room next over. Lucy sat with her eyes grazed the surroundings with boredom lacing them. She noticed the broad mechanic waltz in and rose her eyebrow.
“Lucy,” He started, standing in front of her. “You need a pick me up.” He grinned down at her, only further making her eyebrow raise. Lucy scoffed and stared up at him.
“And who said that? I highly doubt that big brother sent a childish womanizer to make his sister smile.” She responded, standing up. Her heels made her about two inches taller than him. Though, her soft features and beautiful eyes were enchanting, he was intimidated. But... his cockiness wasn’t going to stop him now.
“I did! You need to smile more; I’m sure it suits you better than a constant glare.” He offered his arm and gestured. “C’mon, the sun just set and I’m sure some star gazing could do you well.” Her arm gently wrapped around his as she was escorted out of the facility.
He, actually, took her to the garage to where he grabbed his board. Lex lightly lowered the hoverboard to the ground where he allowed Lucy to get on behind him. “Hold on, Luce.” He christened her with a nickname, grinning as her arms loosely wrapped around his waist from behind. They immediately tightened after he picked up speed quickly and a yelp escaped her throat. He snickered and continued to pick up speed.
“Ugh...” Lucy had her head lulled to the side as his cloak had poked in her face, making it hard for her to see. She couldn’t complain, though. Her hair would probably do the same thing. “...Where are you even going to take me?” She asked, causing him to glance at her.
“Don’t worry about it, babe; just enjoy the ride.” He grinned, seeing her face heat up a little bit. Lex darted heavily populated deman areas and objects in the way until he was able to find an isolated field, slowing down on the board. He scanned the area, raising an eyebrow. He should be fine with Lucy because they’re both ‘deman’, so, hopefully, they’ll be left alone.
He stepped off once the board stopped, he stepped off carefully, and offered his hand to help Lucy off. She gladly took his hand and stepped off, glancing around. The mechanic tucked his hand-made hoverboard under his arm as he took the females hand with his other. She looked to the side, her cheeks heating up again. Lex’s face was also red... but, his cloak hid it. It also took every muscle in his body to not grin like an idiot and whisper, ‘score’.
The night air cooled them off and they were able to find a patch of grass to sit on. Lucy sat beside Lex, his eyes wandering over her with admiration. Man, he found her just enchanting. He found a lot of women beautiful, but Lucy was a diamond. She had flung her hair up and laid back to watch the sky, her hair spread out above her. He laid back with her, hands resting on his stomach. Lucy’s hands rested at her sides, staring at the stars.
She had become nervous now that she and Lex were silent. Lucy began to think about why the mechanic had drug her out here. Her skeptical side got to her so she turned her head to look at him. “Hey, Lexter.”
“Hm?” He hummed as a reply, turning his head to look back at her.
Their eyes met and Lexter slightly smiled as she paused and stared into his eyes. Her green eyes popped and matched her orange hair, pale skin, and curious personality.
“...Why did you drag me out here, really?”
“I told you.” He rose his eyebrow as he looked back up. “I don’t know your story very well, but I know you’re not the happiest with your life and situation.” Lexter felt a small, soft smile settle. “I can’t fix your past but hopefully I can make you happy right now. I mean, even a little. I’m not all about myself, y’know. I know I’m a famous mechanic and all, but I’m only this way for my mom.” His smile faded a bit, Lucy’s eyes softening and a frown graced her lips.
“Why your mother?” She asked, turning on her side as her attention was now brought to the childish pink haired boy. “What happened to her?”
“She disappeared. Everyone thinks she’s dead, but I know she’s out there.” He answered, pointing to the sky. “She couldn’t have gone up there just yet. She’s strong. She’s alive, I know it.” Lexter noticed his brow furrowed while his fingers curled and clenched. He pulled a smile again and put his hand at his side. “I’ll find her and bring her home, that’s for sure.”
Lucy felt his pain and she looked at his clenched fist, eyebrows turning in worry. She lightly snaked her hand to his, lacing her fingers between his. He blinked and bit his tongue to hold in his happy squeals. She looked at him as she spoke.
“Lexter, is that why you’re still with us? Even after Rano told you that he wanted to leave you behind?” She asked quietly. “Because of your mother?” Lexter nodded in response, shrugging.
“I mean, I wanna help you, too, but. That’s why I initially joined Rano. I’ve grown attached to you guys, though.” He grinned, cheekily as he looked over at her. “Especially you, Lucy.” As their eyes locked again, she got flustered and threw his hand down and rolled back onto her back.
“Don’t say that!” She crossed her arms as he snickered and scooted closer beside her. Her heated cheeks and stifled grin were not missed by Lexter. He hummed again as he got close to her.
“You’re cute.” He snickered, grabbed her hand again. Lexter lightly peppered her hand with a few light kisses. “I’ve thought you were gorgeous since I met you, y’know? Though, I haven’t seen your smile. Which is another reason why I wanted to do this. To maybe catch a glimpse of it.” His mind was going off in a group of men going ‘DAMN SON’ because he thought that was smooth as fuck. However... Lucy thought it was pretentious. But cute.
She snickered with a grin and shook her head. “You’re like every typical boy.” Lucy replied as she shrugged. “But, I actually know what you want.” She mumbled before pushing her lips lightly against his quickly.
“W-W-... WELL...” He babbled out, his face becoming as red as Rano’s jacket. “I-I-I.. I MEAN, IT’S NOT LIKE I DIDN’T WANT TH-THAT BUT I REALLY DID WANT YOUR SMILE!” He stammered, his hands covering his face as he grinned as wide as a hyena and tensed up. Lucy shushed him, resting her hand on his shoulder.
“Calm down.” She grinned as he moved his hands and looked at her. Her face was close to his again, foreheads pressing. “I wanted to get closer to you, too.” She whispered before their lips locked again, forgetting about all of the stars they originally came out to look at.
