amelia grew up with her mother in ocoee, florida prior to moving.
from as early as she can remember her father hasn’t been around. her mother told her he passed shortly after her birth. pl0t twist, he’s alive but that’s a story for another day.
her mother, marilyn, has always been in abusive relationships.
marilyn eventually found a man that believed in longevity, which only made things more complicated for mila. her usually excitable demeanor diminished, her grades dipped, and her school teachers worried.
mila's childhood best friend was moving and mila begged her to stay - she was her only source of happiness. of course, that was out of the young child's hand; however, after her father spoke to marilyn she could see that it was a toxic environment for mila and offered to take her with them. knowing her mother so eagerly handed mila over to someone who was a stranger to her still leaves her heart in pieces.
mila was raised in a small apartment in boston with her best friend and her best friend's father. they didn't have much, but they were stable. he's been the support system she always wanted.
her mother still contacts her when things get too tough. when she needs money for drugs or alcohol.
mila is super high energy !! she believes in making the most out of every day.
she is in love with the idea of love. there is very little that could make her lose faith in it despite her past environment.
she is a little dork. LOVES to hang w her friends and make a fool of herself because she's kind of oblivious to the fact that she's making a fool of herself ??
alwayssss smells like strawberries. not only does she often pack them with her lunch, but she loves the smell of them and it's kinda ridic, but thats mila so0o0o
