“I don't know what you're talking about” - I.M (Changkyung)
A/N: Happy I.M day ‘22! This is the first piece I’ve written about him, but I’m sure there will be plenty more :)
You were starting to regret your growing friendship with Monsta X. You were hanging out with them at the studio, and while Jooheon was directing Changkyun's vocals, the rest of them were interrogating you.
"That's not fair, I'm not just telling you who I bias," you argued.
"If she won't say, I bet it's one of us," Minhyuk accused you.
"Or I won't say because it's none of you and I don't want to offend someone," you replied with a sassy grin.
"You can't bias the whole group so someone will be offended," Kihyun chimed in.
"Thanks, that's really convincing me to tell."
"I've decided it must be Jooheon or Changkyun, otherwise you wouldn't have made that comment," Hyungwon deduced.
You were flustered, and stumbled over your words.
"Haha," Minhyuk shouted triumphantly. "Now we know it isn't us and we are all offended, you might as well tell us your bias."
What Minhyuk could see, but you couldn't, was the others approaching from behind you.
"I.M." you muttered.
"What's that?" Changkyun's voice suddenly appeared by your ear.
You jumped and spun round, ready to hit him but thinking better of it at the last minute.
"Don't sneak up on me like that!"
"What, otherwise I won't be your favourite anymore?"
"I don't know what you're talking about," you said, crossing arms and pouting slightly.
"The fact that I'm your bias," he replied smugly.
You glared at Minhyuk who was now giggling gleefully, until Jooheon called him to the booth.
Sulking, you walked away from the group, but Changkyun followed.
"Shut up," you told him, as you took a seat.
He raised his hands as he sat beside you. "I haven't said anything yet."
"But you were going to. Just because I was Monbebe before I became friends with you all."
"Do you still have a favourite?" he asked, his voice now softer and less teasing.
"Maybe."
"Is it still me?"
"Maybe."
"Because we've never really spent time together just the two of us, and maybe we should," he suggested.
