okay but since i don’t have my bio up just yet- this is kinda to let you know what’s up with Akhem back in the bce,

Akhem’s background is heavily religious and most of his up bringing was centered around the wolf deity Wepwawet or Upuaut. Wepwawet was, very earlier in history, a god of war. over time he was often times depicted to be a pharaoh’s mascot or hound in a way--- a scout if you would. the name Wepwawet means “Opener of the Ways” as he would clear routes for the army to proceed forward.

with the connection to war, and soon death as well,  Wepwawet was also being seen as one who opened the ways to Duat for the spirits of the dead--- he would watch over their souls in the Duat.

for Akhem, he was born in Zawty  (later Lycopolis.)- but he was taken and raised in Abydos. he was raised in a temple of Wepwawet and he was trained to be as fierce yet as wise as this one God of many.

so Akhem was raised a fighter, a protector, a server to the pharaohs of Upper Egypt. yet he was also an guardian of the temple of Wepwawet. he was an overseer of the mummification process. blessing those laid to rest in a manner of cleaning them a safe travel to Duat.

since he was, ya know, raised to be an embodiment of Wepwawet for the people and pharaohs of Kemet. a solider and watcher of those entering the afterlife.
