I dont want to get my hopes up, because for some reason Descendants teasers usually look much better then the actual movie, but this looks... really good?

It may be just me, but the costumes and makeup look so much better then most of the things in Descendants 3 did. I mean it still looks like disney channel fashion, but that isnt necessarily bad.

They both look really good to me, I like the style and color palettes. It looks fun! I felt the last movie tried to give the characters more "adult" clothes in some scenes and it didnt worked that well.

On the other hand, again, why is the atmosphere so grimmy? All the scenes looks as if it was very cloudly outside.

At first I thought it was at night, but this window makes me doubt it, is a little too much light for it to be night, is more like the white sky of a stormy day.

And this image of Cinderella and Prince Charming has that same vibe, with gray sky and a bit of fog on the background.

okay with all the minowater lore that dropped today i want to SAY THIS by first PREFACING with I AM MAKING THE ASSUMPTION THAT THE MOD WAS INSPIRED BY FNAF. THUS I WILL BE RELATING TO FNAF IN THIS ONE AND COULD BE ENTIRELY FUCKING WRONG. I REALIZE HOW OUT THERE THIS ONE IS. okay now with that out of the way. considering there is the whole pharmacist using "its/it" which. USUALLY. I SAY USUALLY BECAUSE I DO NOT WANT TO INVALIDATE PEOPLE. in the english language it/its refers to a thing, and not a person. There's also the entire pizza thing, glitchy tech, + the weird noises minowater is hearing!!! so what if minowater pharmacist is at least not fully human. i know that sounds like it came out of nowhere and maybe it seems that way but HEAR ME OUT. HEARME OUT. Yk those weird sounds it's been hearing. yeah in the fnaf books there is a CONSTANT reference to these discs that play high pitched, almost inaudiable noises that cause visual/auditory hallucinations to the target. Again I could be entirely wrong and just. simply nuts but if I remember RIGHT then it only vaugely affected animatronics. Considering it's simply barely- if even- audible to humans and minowater can hear it pretty clearly it seams??? yeahhh,,,,, that and the whole preparing for a birthday party and needing a gift,,, maybe previously working at said pizza place?? i dunno. entirety of minowater lore absolutely stinks of fnaf kid to me but that could entirely just be my brainrot.

My thoughts on Mike’s attitude this season is that he feels like it was Will the one who pushed him aside. Remember that El had been lying about having a bunch of friends and even enjoying school, Mike probably thinks that includes Will also having new friends and even “a girl he likes.”

They barely speak, Mike doesn’t reach out, Will does it even less but the only one getting info about the other is Mike. Even if this info is fake.

I think this is why Mike joins The Hellfire club, why he is cold to Will at the airport, why he doesn’t assume the painting is for him and why he calls him a douche. I think this is also why he says “why didn’t you tell me she was having problems?” It’s a subtle kick on the lack of communication between them. Thought Mike is blaming him at this point and he also seems to be under the impression that El is having trouble but Will isn’t (I mean he’s not the one in the rink, no?)

After the talk with El I think he realizes what was going on with both of them and he reassures Will they’re not just friends but best friends, he will always have his back. That’s why that scene is so sweet and intimate.

Okay, I can’t hold it in much longer. After another rewatch I must know if anyone else has an opinion of this.

So, at the end of Maurice the scene of Clive and Anne getting ready for bed has always bothered me. For some reason Anne looks scared to me? Like, Clive is hugging her and then stands up to shut the windows, and maybe I’m reading it wrong but she looks so scared. There’s a moment earlier on as well, when Clive is getting undressed to go to bed, and Anne had been very happy earlier and nothing had been shown to change her mind except seeing Clive without clothes. It seems, to me, that she’s afraid of sex or nonplatonic intimacy. 

I think it could also be that she maybe senses something in Clive she doesn’t understand, but for some reason I always read it like she fears she’s about to be hurt or experience something bad, when she has no reason to believe that. Clive’s not a great guy, we all know it, but he’s not hostile or anything. He’s creepily nonconfrontational almost at times. So, basically, I’ve always had a suspicion that maybe Anne entered the marriage to escape some forbidden romance as well. Particularly a Sapphic one.

And maybe she has also found great comfort in the safety of the relationship with Clive. She is secure financially, they have a nice home, she seems like the people they’re surrounded by. Like Clive, maybe she too had a moment of not thinking straight is so bad, even if there’s not passion. And then, in those intimate moments that maybe she’s waiting for and they haven’t experienced, she realizes that all that safety doesn’t translate to love. Maybe companionship, but not heat.

Anyway, I should be writing my college supplementals but this has been on my mind about this movie for a while now. A mutual gay straight marriage without the mutual knowledge of a mutual gay straight marriage?
