Now, you tell me that the writers were all white or non POC. I knew that.
It’s a problematic storyline. Slave with the slave owners son, but the further you watch the story the more you see it’s sweet and things change in that household.
She’s trying to save the love of her life. He is the son of the man who does own slaves and has had them in the house.
It’s cute and endearing, while certain themes are problematic, like what show doesn’t have those. It’s a sweet corny and predictable show but it’s it’s still sweet and filled with more culture then most shows considering.
