“sure is dark in here..” chris’ voice teetered as you both walked into a dark room of a haunted house. his way of “fun” at a theme park always included a haunted house for some reason. it always threw you off since he wasn’t the calmest in a dark room with things jumping out at him. or in a dark room in general.
you didn’t even reply, just following behind him as you felt the others shuffle in behind you. somewhere in the back, ethan was grabbing onto josh’s shoulders out of fear even though nothing was happening yet.
chris’ hands shook at his sides. “i’m totally not scared of anything.” he continued on, you pushing him from behind as he stood still, not moving forward with the others. “i mean who’s scared of the dark these days? not me. not christopher michael dixon. no sir.”
you rolled your eyes as his uneasy voice and light jumping when you all turned corners. “do you want me to hold your hand?” you asked like a mother with a scared child, but a part of you wasn’t surprised at chris’ reply;
